You're welcome tinkerbelle- Jenson Button
Button says a lot of work needed on RA108 Jenson Button says there is still a lot of work to be done before the new Honda RA108 is competitive following a three-day test at Barcelona last weekend. Both Button and teammate Rubens Barrichello suffered from a general lack of mechanical grip during the test, with neither managing to show the sort of pace the Japanese squad are hoping for in order to bounce back from their dismal 2007 season. The good news for the team, however, was that the stability problems suffered under braking last year are nearly gone. Button was happy with the car's reliability, but he admitted there is still a lot of progress to be made. "I am pleased with the reliability of the car," said Button at the end of the test. "Generally, we have made some progress this week but there is still a lot of work to be done in the forthcoming tests. The car is completely new which means we are starting from zero in terms of developing the set-up. "We are also experiencing some drivability issues as we work with the new ECU. The weather conditions today meant that I was able to get my first wet running in without traction control, which was good. On to Jerez next as we continue to keep pushing forward with developing the car." Barrichello added: "There is plenty of potential in terms of working on the speed of the car in the coming tests and this will come as we continue to make progress with the set-up. At this stage I am happy that reliability is certainly on our side."- Michael Schumacher
Schumacher to skip tests SEVEN-time world champion Michael Schumacher will not be joining former team Ferrari in the Bahrain tests, it was confirmed yesterday, reports Patrick Salomon. The 39-year-old has tested with the reigning constructors' champions this past off-season, last participating in Jerez testing in December in Spain. But Ferrari PR manager Luca Colojanni said that he will surely not be joining the team in the kingdom, not even for a visit. "If he wanted to come here, he would have gone on with his career as a driver," Colojanni told the GDN. Schumacher has said he is happy to continue testing Ferrari's F2008 car this year. Last month, team president Luca di Montezemolo confirmed this, saying that Schumacher is Ferrari's "third driver". Schumacher clarified however that he would continue dealing with the development of the car, but not too often. Meanwhile, popular Ferrari driver Felipe Massa is scheduled to arrive in Bahrain during the early hours of today morning. The Brazilian will be jetting in directly from his home country. He was scheduled to reach the Kingdom yesterday morning but his programme changed, said Colojanni. Massa will be taking to the track for his first testing session tomorrow. Teammates Kimi Raikkonen and Luca Badoer will continue working on the Ferrari cars today.- Yoann Gourcuff

Priyanka shares Madonna’s belief! The world stands witness to Priyanka Chopra’s inspirational journey from a teenage girl to a reigning actress . This pretty girl from Bareilly has come a long way and is now joining the elite company of three global brand ambassadors, including pop star Madonna, ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ girl Shakira and the Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe. And there’s a common sentiment that these sexy divas believe in the girl of today wants to go out, live her dreams and share her memorable moments and stories with the world. Incidentally, Piggy Chops’ favourite ‘Queen of Pop’ icon Madonna says, "Every Sunsilk brand ambassador, including Priyanka Chopra, stands for freedom of expression, doing what she believes in and going after her dreams. I am my own experiment. I am my own work of art. I have the same goal I’ve had ever since I was a girl." In the same vein, Latino performer Shakira feels that Priyanka is experiencing a typical ‘Life Can’t Wait’ moment, which is a time when you seize an opportunity and live for today. She preaches, "You need to be ready to seize every opportunity that comes your way else you will be somewhere invisible in the crowd of people who just dream big but don’t make an attempt to realise their dreams and transform them into a living reality." Priyanka Chopra says, "Today, girls who want to make it happen tend to enjoy a wealth of opportunity. Sunsilk believes feeling happy with your hair can unleash your true potential. It can help girls in expressing themselves and make life happen." Well, get going girls, for Piggy Chops herself seems all geared to root for you.- Alexandre Pato
AC Milan rocked by injury to matchwinner Pato AC Milan have been rocked by a serious injury suffered by matchwinner Alexandre Pato in last night's 1-0 victory over Fiorentina. The 18-year-old was stretchered off in the final minutes of the match after turning his left ankle on the turf. "He sustained up a pretty serious sprain. We need 48 hours to evaluate the extent of the injury," said Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti. It remains to be seen how long he will be out for, but the Brazilian is a real risk for the first leg of the Champions League clash with Arsenal on February 20. Ancelotti added: "We are back in an emergency situation. With Gilardino suspended, we hope that Pippo Inzaghi or Ronaldo can recover for next Sunday. "Pato's goal was very well constructed. Kaka did a great job in attacking the space left by Gilardino and putting it straight into the centre for Pato, who had a marvellous control and finish."- Paolo Maldini
CONTINUE LIKE THIS MILAN "I have to give my compliments to the whole team. It was a very intense, balanced match. We are happy about the result and especially about having won the three points." - THE WORDS OF THE ROSSONERI - FLORENCE - Here are the declarations made by the rossoneri after Fiorentina-Milan 0-1: ALBERTO GILARDINO: "I have to give my compliments to the whole team. It was a very intense, balanced match. Perhaps we could have scored before, but we are still happy with the result and about getting another three points. Both teams played a good match, we played the ball and the fact that Fiorentina played very far up the pitch allowed us to have a few chances up front. With Siena it won't be easy, especially after Pato's injury, and I'm disappointed about my booking because I wasn't expecting it, now I'll prepare well for the game with Livorno. Tonight Milan showed what they can do, but we can do even better." PAOLO MALDINI: "Finally we managed to do what we always need to do. Unfortunately in the standings we are penalised by the fact we haven't won much at home in the first round of matches, that is absolutely unlike Milan. Now we have to keep on going, although we are still disappointed with the three points lost against Atalanta. Concerning Pato, I became worried about his condition, he suffered a painful knock, perhaps a new feeling for him, but I don't think it's too serious because he hurt his ankle, not his knee. It's not as bad as what it seemed like on the pitch. Now we must continue doing well, our objectives must be large. Until twenty days ago the fourth place seemed like a utopia. Soon the Champions League will return, which will strain us both physically and mentally. Our intention is to be more consistent compared to the first part of the season." KALAC: "I managed to save the result on Fiorentina's last shot of the game, but we shouldn't forget that the team offered a great performance. We believed until the end and then we won. Of the whole match, the most difficult save was certainly the last one, because if it had gone Fiorentina would have gotten a draw and we wouldn't have had the time to recover. The fact I've been able to play more frequently has certainly helped achieve a better balance."- Alberto Gilardino
