Rani is back with a 'bang' The actress has got herself a new, trendy hairdo By Buzz18 Mar 09, 2008 Move over Bipasha Basu, it's Rani Mukerji's turn now to sport a neat short haircut too! Rani made her first public appearance in her new look at the Women's Day celebration at INOX, Mumbai. This is also the first time she emerged in public after Aditya Chopra's reported divorce and fresh rumours of her marriage began to do the rounds. Notice the very trendy bangs the actress is sporting. Of late almost everyone from Preity Zinta to Aishwarya Rai has gone for this fringe-y look. Rani offered flowers to the goddess at the event. We were surprised to see Ashutosh Gowariker at the event. The director was apparently not feeling well and had cancelled a Sunday morning workshop he was supposed to conduct at the on-going MAMI Film Festival.

Aditya picks Rani for SRK Aditya Chopra has selected Yash Raj favourite Rani Mukherji to star opposite Shah Rukh Khan in his next directorial venture. A source close to Yash Raj says that Rani is more than happy to work in the project which is expected to begin this year itself. “Adi needs two heroines for his film. Rani will play the lead opposite SRK while the hunt is still on for Hrithik’s heroine. A couple of actresses have been short listed but it looks like Preity Zinta might make the cut,” says the source. He adds that the film will have everything that Aditya Chopra and Yash Raj are famous for - from foreign locales to over the top love and romance which is the central theme of Chopra’s film. But one can’t help but question Aditya’s need to step into the director’s role all of a sudden? “Everyone knows that Yash Raj has had a very bad 2007. Other than Chak De! India they haven’t had any superhit and so Adi is taking things in his own hand. The film will have everything that made DDLJ and Mohabbatein cult films amongst the youth. And who better to do it with then the most bankable stars of Yash Raj and Bollywood.” “And at the same time he has been thinking about directing a film. He has been working on the script for a while and then when Yash Raj needs his success formula the most it does make sense for him to direct the film now,” feels our source. With the script close to being locked down, the film is expected to go on floors in the summer once all the actors have wrapped up their current commitments. The romantic drama will be shot in Dubai, Australia and Yash Raj’s current favourite Greece

GATTUSO: 'Ronaldo is football' MILAN - Rino Gattuso welcomed back Ronaldo: "He changed his look, now he has the goatie, but I must say that it hurts to see a great champion sitting on the bench looking at the training session, because Ronaldo is football. Following the injury he has no been Ronaldo, but he played at 40% and did extraordinary things. In these years I understood why they call him 'Fenomeno'. If he was just like that at 40%, think how he would be at 100%."

HERE IS RONIE! The Fenomeno returned to Milanello today, and was able to embrace his team mates, the coach, and everyone he had to leave due to the injury that involved him. - THE DECLARATIONS - MILANELLO - Here are the declarations made by Ronaldo to Milan Channel's microphones on the day of his return to the Milan sporting center of Milanello after the operations which involved the Brazilian's left knee: "I'm better, the worst is over, I have no pain anymore, and now I'm able to walk better. There's not much time before I can stop using my crutches within the established times. It's nice to be back here at Milanello and seeing all my friends, and it's a good thing that I don't feel any pain. For now it's early to talk about a decision, but I'm preparing for this great mission which is to get back to playing again."

TOTTI: 'Maldini is a positive figure' ROME - During the celebration for his 200 gaols with the Giallorossi, organized by a sponsor at Civita Castellana, Francesco Totti also spoke about the match against Milan and in particular about Paolo Maldini: "It will be a difficult game. Maldini? He's an important player, a positive figure off and on the pitch." Roma will arrive to this game against the Rossoneri hungry for points because they don't believe that the Scudetto race is over, as the Giallorossi's captain confirms: "In 2007 Inter killed the league, now we want to arrive until the end in the Champions League and recover Scudetto points. We believe."
