I've just seen the VSFS 2008 and I'm still in shock. The whole thing turned into a gigantic PINK segment! Dear VS CEOs, if you can read this I would like to remind you that "VSFS" stands for "Victoria's Secret FASHION Show" and not for "The Victoria's Secret Show". Focus on the damn clothes, models and make up and not on the guest "stars" and idiotic interludes. How the hell can you mess up a show focused on beautiful women in skimpy clothes?! Use less pink for god's sake. Red, black and white are THE colors for lingerie. Make the clothes simple but elegant and not weird like that (unintentionally) hilarious giraffe outfit from last year. When it comes to music pick something matching the mood. For a dark segment Massive Attack's "Angel" should be a no-brainer. Forget about poppy, kiddy songs. Simply remember that though things cute, playful and fun are good for marketing clothes young people wear when it comes to lingerie keeping everything sexy, seductive and elegant is much better. Oh! And use less photoshopping in catalog pictures. Since a year or so the amount of airbrushing is not just obvious, but simply ridiculous. Best Regards, A VSFS 2001 fan. The people who did Adriana's hair and makeup for GQ should work with her 24/7. Her body doesn't look all that different then what we could see in recent pics, but her face looks incredible. Much fresher then lately - simply 4-5 years younger.

I didn't even respond to your "predictions".I meant an argument we had earlier. I think it was the one where we talked about the LL Show. IMO she didn't present anything during the list special. She wasn't really hosting it. She was a pretty face used for promoting the event. Thanks for the lecture, but it didn't answer my question. I wasn't asking about hypothetical situations. I wanted you to tell me how is it possible that my precise words quoted just some posts earlier were negative and obvious at the same time. Did I write she will be just a tiny part of the show AND that she will probably be bad and that it will most likely end her career? No! That would have been pessimistic. What I wrote was realistic and it could only be seen as negative by people who expected to see something like an small Oscar ceremony with Adriana being in the center of attention and actually hosting the thing. The problem is that I figured out my positive comments would look pessimistic when surrounded by the hyper optimistic opinions usually posted here. Someone being realistic would look negative for people who normally only notice the bright side of things. That's why I try not to post comments at all. I only snap from time to time when I encounter too much naivety. Because I'm an old Adriana fan who still is curious to see what will happen to her. BZ is a great place to find news and you don't have to go through so many childish opinions like on e.g. AFL. Beside that I feel a sentiment for this place and it's old users I enjoyed reading long before I bothered to register. If I really enjoyed doing that wouldn't I come here more often? Wouldn't I go to a place like AFL where I could "attack" more people? Wouldn't I use every chance to write something negative and "feel smarter"? You just wrote yourself I don't bother to comment many things. Let's play this "psychology" game for a little longer. Tell me dr. Freud what would be you opinion about people who are able to convince themselves that clearly negative things about their idol actually are positive. E.g. the idol humiliates themselves during an interview, but those people don't see it like that at all. They make up a story e.g. that the idol was insulted by something the interviewer did, and thanks to that story they convince themselves their idol's behavior wasn't humiliating, but rational. They aren't able to notice their own delusion even when the idol actually does the precise same thing that was suppose to insult him/her during the interview. What would be your opinion about those people's mental state? Since we are already talking about why do people do certain things - why are you constantly attacking my posts? If I remember correctly we made an agreement that we will avoid each other. You were the one who broke it and you continue to do so. That she isn't spokesperson material and that VS knows it, that she doesn't know how to behave in front of a TV camera during interviews, that she had lost her chance to become really important for VS's marketing, that she is "slower" then most people, that the change in her look was sudden, etc. We argued about many little things and somehow I can't recall one you were right about. Reply if you want to. I will not.

I just watched that "What is sexy" special and I really loved it! Not that I liked the show itself, I think it was shitty. I enjoyed it because it gave me a chance to remind people of why I wrote:

Sorry, but I'll believe when I'll see it... I can only imagine a hour long show with Adriana in two ways: -) no audience so the scenes can be repeated -) she would be a second host with someone else doing 90% of talking. Something like: " - Hi! My name is Ryan Seacrest and I'm with Victoria's greatest secret - Adriana Lima - an you are watching a hour long "Sexy List" special. Let's start! Adriana, who is the world's sexiest singer? - It's every girl's dream - Justin Timberlake - That's not a surprise! The talented singer who got his incredible voice at the age of 10 when he suffered in a nasty lawn mower accident is famous thanks to his effect on his female fans. (...) I really can't believe anyone would be stupid enough to let Adriana talk on her own for 60 minutes. Doing something like that would be a suicide attempt by VS... Actually that was my point. In Sheebshag's opinion it took longer. I do admit I probably was wrong about the months. I still think the change in her look was sudden (IMO it happened in 4 months or even less), but I think It took place during a different period. I wrote she had changed during 2005 and now I think that's wrong. I went through some candids and I guess she started looking worse late in 2005 and the process finished early in 2006. Maybe even it all happened in the first half of 2006. But why should she bother? It's easy to find shows now. When you remember that the particular show had year x in it's name you simply look for it in x section. Nothingless would have to check the precise dates when the shows took place and move many runway and candids galleries. I really think it's ok the way it is...

She doesn't appear in talk shows (like Leno or Conan). If she does appear in some major show (and her appearance is longer then 30 seconds) she never is alone and talks only about VS related stuff - no personal questions. Beside that she obviously is interviewed for some less important shows, but for the major ones she only repeats studied answers. Don't be surprised if it turns out that the "list presenting" will take a minute and the rest will be a recorded material showing the "winners" or if Adriana will be backed up by Selita or KK.
