  3. Joy Corrigan. Most of us have been around for many years, even 10+ years. We know most of their names already.
  4. I'd have to think on that one. Witcher is the gold standard for me. The Nolan Dark Knight trilogy was great and completely fit the classical mold of heroes' journey. I think Star wars & Luke skywalker was a lost opportunity. Luke Skywalker could have become legendary if the sequels were well made. The last character that struck me as outstanding was Ragner (Travis Fimmel) from Vikings. This character's journey was in far greater depth and detail than normal, I think Ragner was much deeper and better than any of the characters in Game of Thrones TBH. 'spoilers' - not really though.

This is just an interview with a pornstar, it's safe for work.
  6. Witcher has the best cosplayers ever, all these beautiful women.
  7. Used in films, in this case Der Untergang.
  8. I don't see signs of real aging, I see her getting gaunt. When a woman loses fat on her face she appears older. IF Scarlett were to gain weight I think she would look younger. I could be wrong.
  9. @Enrico_sw why is superman not knight material to you?
  10. The superman's enemies and peers are also OP (intergalactic or god-like creatures) in the comics. He's a bit of a basic superhero, not very interesting as a person. I like the trailer mainly because of the idealistic themes, the movie itself was good but had a bunch of small flaws. It's very much the themes that kids that grow up in the 1990s believed in. Seems a thousand years ago. But it's really the stuff that we wished we could live up to. In a way Superman is the WW2/baby boomer generation's superhero, rather naive and from much more simple times. In novels, Geralt receives his knighthood (of Riveria) on the battlefield. This is alluded to in the Tourney in blood and wine and it appeared in the spin off game (from the novels):
  11. old, but great stand up performance by Trump

  13. One of things about the US is that we have legalized corruption called campaign contributions and lobbying. This hides what it really is.
  14. Yea, India has massive problems. I find it interesting that China, India, and Russia produce tons of highly technically educated people (scientists and engineering) but GDP per capita is low compared to Western countries. Russia produces almost 50% more engineers per year than the US last I checked and that's something that most people don't know. India and China produce many times more STEM people per year than the US. Japan has many aspects that keep them in the first world but they hit a wall in the 1980s and haven't recovered since. One of the things that I find interesting is what kind of culture & people can make a good society. It seems that the society needs a well balanced mixture of different people with different traits, besides good rule of law and institutions. Introverted and extroverted people, entrepreneural-risk taking people, people with managing and leadership skills, introverted technical people, etc. combined together. The society can't have an excess of one type of people and lack the others.
