Their current strategy probably reflects a desire to pursue a specific niche, since it is incredibly easy to see top models being hot on Instagram now. Nobody has to wait for SI to see pictures of today's Laetitias Casta or Elsas Beniteze at the beach in swimsuits. Models post that stuff to stories for free all the time. As to whether the particular niche they're going with, which is to put it neutrally a kind of socially conscious promotion of wider beauty standards, is successful, without seeing their financials we can only speculate. It's (logically) valid, but without inside information we can't be sure if it's (logically) sound. Likewise, Playboy knows as well as anyone else how easy it is to get free and high quality nudes by anyone over 12 with an internet connection. It is literally impossible to compete directly with that.

I went to high school with a girl who went on to finish 3rd in Miss America (repping a different state than the one we grew up in lol), and she was already a pageant veteran when she was 16. They start early and climb up the competition. Truly a different thing.

It seems obvious to me that a model might interpret shooting lingerie for a web store that sells lingerie as different from having those pictures shared in a different context where the point is how hot she is; or that working with a photographer she admires as an artistic expression rather than to satisfy prurient interests. Is it a reasonable expectation on the internet? Not really. I didn't think I was personally putting a stop to it by no longer sharing that content myself, it's gonna happen. But I don't think it's inconsistent or hypocritical of her. It might be if she were to object while doing something like SI, where the models being hot "is the product," but almost everything shared in here is the output of a working model.

Go back a few pages? Someone posted pictures from a shoot, then took them down when they heard Nicola and the brand didn't want them on here. Anyway, that's the last word from me in this thread. Don't tag me here.

I stopped posting on Bellazon because I learned Nicola did not want her pictures posted here, and decided, in addition to that, that it was a waste spending so much time here anyway. But if I were to come back to the forum consistently, I still would not resume reposting stuff in this thread. Clearly it will happen without me, but that doesn't mean I have to do it too.
