Being written by Lennon-McCartney and then performed by The Beatles makes it a Beatles original song Besides: The Rolling Stones recorded their cover in October 7 1963, while The Beatles recorded the basis of the song in September 11 & 12 that same year. The Rolling Stones COVER was released before, however... November 1st 1963, while the Beatles original came out in November 22 along their second album.
