Hannah Davis (just a different pic) 2. Nina Agdal 3. Gigi? Maybe? Idk Pick 3 models who attended casting calls who should've been in the issue: 1. YARA KHMIDAN 2. Clara Alonso Other than that idk none of the other girls from the casting call really stood out to me/were that merorable. Pick 3 models who should be in the casting calls in 2015 (for the 2016 issue): 0. Gigi Paris... but this is my selfish one so I'm not counting it 1. Alexis Ren or Bryana Holly (both of the basically fit the criteria for blonde, girl-next-door, nice rack, nice body trope) 2. McKenna Berkeley 3. Nicole Harrison 4. LESS BLONDE WHITE WOMEN, MORE DIVERSITY! ANYBODY THAT FITS THIS CRITERIA PLEASE - Ok I know one of my casting call requests is the white, blonde stereotype so I'm kind of a hypocrite but that's it, 2-3 and done Pick 3 Photographers who should do S.I.: 1. At least one female photographer but as much as I love EVW I don't think her work would translate correctly to SI and I can't think of any other notable female photographers rn Other than that idc Girls S.I. should bring back: 1. Jess Perez 2. Cintia Dicker 3. Dominique Piek - she was only in the issue in 2010 and it was incredible and SI has no idea what they're doing Obviously I'd also love to the golden legends like Petra and Josie etc. back but I tried to keep this fairly recent + bc I like to be annoying and spice things up: 3 locations you would've like to have seen/would like to see: I'm going to do 3 American locations I would've like to have seen in this year's issue 1. UPSTATE NY! FINGER LAKES! 2. New England/Boston/Cape Cod - something in this area. I feel like they could've done something with colonial vibes and that would've been really nice for an American issue 3. Florida Glades/Louisiana Bayou or NOLA - if they worked it right I feel like the real nitty gritty deep south swampy vibes could've worked really ncie or they could've done something really incredible with the southern gothic theme in nola lmao i guess that's technically 4 locations what can I say I'm selfish

Other than that I'm pretty sure she's doing her standard e-commerce stuff. Why is the lighting, positioning, style, etc., etc., everything about Sam in that lavender field pic look different from every other pic in the magazine?????

^ Rose's pose for sure. It bother's me too. I feel like that pose would've been a lot more suited nude. That little bit of bikini there just makes everything look a little off...

These pictures are actually from a mock VS PINK inspired shoot by Jared Thomas Kocka. He's an LA based photographer who's shot very popular sets with almost every big name, insta model in LA. This shoot in particular actually has no real affiliation with the PINK name or brand but I have to admit, if you look at some of the pictures, there a lot better than a lot of the stuff VS is releasing.

Mood - 1.5 Music: .5 - It contributed absolutely nothing to the overall mood of the commercial??????????????? Visual Elements: 2.5 Effectiveness: 2 Likability: 2 - All Elsa tbch... The commercial overall felt less "sexy" and more "flirty" or "fresh" or something like that. Not really want you want when advertising a perfume named "eau so sexy"...

The ad itself is very nice and Ashley looks wonderful. Like I said, I feel like the media frenzy is just taken out of context.

^^^ That's why I'm so confused about all this publicity surrounding the ad, too. Every headline I see says "First Plus Size Model to be Featured in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition", but she's being featured in an ad in the magazine. It's really not super ground breaking on SI's part considering I don't think they really have much or possibly even anything to do with it and I'm fairly certain this isn't the first swimsuit ad to feature a plus size model in general. I think a lot of people are just taking the story out of context and making it a bigger deal than it really is. Also, while I agree that women of all shapes, sizes, colors, etcs. should be appreciated, a lot of the articles I read are twisting this into the "real women have curves" battle, which is something I just don't agree with in general.

If you read the article, you'll see it says that she's not a "featured" model in the magazine, she only appears in an ad in the magazine. So while she'll "appear" in the magazine, in the strictest sense, she's still not an SI model and won't revieve the same promotion and publicity. Besides, if you saw our confirmed model list, a "plus size" model will already be featured in SI this year, and I use the term plus size very loosely. I don't really see how this is news honestly but I guess it's a slow week lmao

LMAO she is not 22 She's turning 26 I think but it looks like her agency is trying to lower her age EDIT: She's turning 25, her DOB is 01-30-1990, or at least it was until SI They also lied constantly about Jessica White's age all the time yeah is not a first According to her meet the rookie profile from 2013, she was 22 in 2013. I'm very impressed she's managed not to age in two years. I'm less impressed that SI can't manage to lie consistantly about their own models ages.
