I totally agree with you GeorgiaGirl. I think they are making the same mistake with Karlie, TBH. Re: Karolina, IDK. It seems that VS fell out of love with her towards the end (they cut her from the Christmas commercial and showed that dress popping) but it was towards the end of her contract, if anything, she lasted a bit more than 3 years, like Erin. I think VS didn't want to renew but I don't think Karolina wanted either. TBH the whole fired/not fired has a lot to do with how their PR handles things.

It's very subtle, though.

Aside from the early Angels where it's known that Stephanie left on her own accord, probably Daniela, Inés & Laetitia too but not much else is known, it is assumed that Tyra, Gisele, Izabel, Rosie, Miranda & Erin left, probably Heidi too and the rest were most likely not renewed. Marisa and Chanel for instance were phased out from the catalogues some time before they contract was due. Heck there's even some of Marisa work they didn't use at all.

It is speculated that Erin left VS not the other way around, probably because she had better opportunities. About Lindsay, I have no idea what really went on. All I know is that VS promoted her a lot in the FW '09-'10 season (Body by Victoira spokesperson, Christmas commercial/campaign, Swim Catalog cover, Angel profile on Facebook, credited in the VSFS opening) and she was added to VSAA at the same time as Candice and Rosie, which per Karlie and Lily is synonymous with becoming an Angel. Then she disappeared for like a year, wasn't featured in any of the 2010 VSFS promo. She only came back in early 2011 with the Gorgeous bra campaign. When the 2011 VSFS came, she was among the Angel line-up. So from what I gather, VS lists its Angels on VSAA's supermodel page but they can decide whether or not they use them. When Rosie walked on them, they decided to make more use of Lindsay, just like how Lindsay suddendly appeared in the VSX campaigns just as Erin dropped off.

They have to pay for the work. I don't think they pay for the jewels considering they return it if it doesn't find a buyer during the Holiday season (which is almost always the case).

Re: Erin, yes we are sure she's not an "active" Angel anymore. She's not on the Angel line-up, she's not on the pic with all the Angels + Cara & Lais. She could always come back, like Lindsay did, considering that VSAA still has her on the Supermodel page, but I doubt it.

Cara is the closest thing there is to a supermodel aside from Kate U. so yeah, she gets priority because she gets press.

People think that this is Doutzen's last year because she has been very vocal about the fact that she forced their hand when she signed her new contract to be able to work for other brands (i.e. H&M) and has been mostly phased out of their catalogs. So they think VS can't wait to ditch her. But if the former Angels do get an open invitation, I can see Doutzen walking a few more years à la Izabel, because it seems that she genuinely likes doing the show.

The whole "not walking before 18" came later than KK and Adriana who both walked at 16-17. Allegedly, it was because of Isabeli looking too young in a catalogue when she was booked at 16 which created some backlash. So VS didn't work with her for a while and decided to not allow underage girls to work for them. Then came PINK and there have been a few exceptions here and there but they mostly have 18+ girls working for them and the minors are always covered up.
