David de Gea
De Gea pledges future to Atletico Atletico Madrid goalkeeper David De Gea has reiterated his desire to remain at the club for the long term. The 20-year-old has produced some sparkling performances this season and has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United. De Gea, who is on the verge of a call-up to the Spain squad, burst onto the scene at Vicente Calderon last term and has made the No 1 jersey his own. United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has reportedly sent scouts to watch the young goalkeeper in action, but De Gea insists he is happy at Atletico. "I am very comfortable here, this has always been my club, and I want to defend this shirt for a long time and win titles," he told AS. "The club is in charge but I am very happy here, and when things go well there is no need to change. "The Champions League is the main thing, and we also have the cup competition, which is very nice, and so we will like to get as far as possible."

Cesc Fabregas
Fabregas - Real Madrid's next skipper? Real Madrid plan to launch an audacious bid to snatch Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas from under the nose of rivals Barcelona. According to reports from the Sun, Real boss Jose Mourinho will make a direct appeal to Fabregas to join him at Madrid in the summer. The report claims that Real will bid £35million for Fabregas, who considered leaving Arsenal at the start of the season, or offer defender Ezequiel Garay, midfielders Lassana and Mahamadou Diarra or Gago in part-exchange. "Mourinho has decided to convince Cesc personally he can be the next leader of the team," a source told the Sun. The newspaper's source, however, still believes that the midfielder's boyhood club Barcelona remain favourites to sign him should he decide to leave England. Arsenal's 23-year-old star player recently came back from injury to guide the Gunners to a vital 3-1 win over Chelsea earlier in the week. Arsene Wenger's men, though, missed the chance to join the two Manchester clubs at the top of the Premier League when they drew 2-2 againts 10-man Wigan Athletic on Wednesday night. Arsenal play again at the weekend when they travel to Birmingham City.

Ashton Kutcher
Brittney Jones -- the woman who insists she slept with Ashton Kutcher -- has predictably officially dropped her lawsuit against Vivid Entertainment ... giving the porn giants the green light to peddle her sex tape. Jones is even trying to play the Kim Kardashian Kard -- saying, "If Kim can survive and in fact do even better after a sex tape scandal, I guess I can, too.” Shoot for the stars! As for Mr. Kutcher -- dude scored a minor victory in the whole sex tape controversy ... because after several rounds of legal exchanges ... a rep for Vivid tells us, "We decided not to use the A-lister’s actual name in connection with the sex tape."

Paris Hilton
Hairtech International has amended its lawsuit against Paris, claiming she's cost them $70 mil in profits by reneging on her deal to promote and wear its hair extensions. Hairtech -- which originally sued for $35 mil back in August -- claims Paris pocketed $3.5 mil from the company to endorse the extensions, but screwed them by wearing competing extensions. Hairtech also claims ... when Paris went to Jail in 2007, she breached the deal by breaking the law. Back when the suit was filed, Paris' lawyer called the action meritless, so now we're guessing he thinks it's twice as meritless.

Chris Brown
Chris Brown -- Racial, Gay Slurs in Twitter Feud 12/29/2010 4:01 PM PST by TMZ Staff So much for anger management ... Chris Brown just unloaded an offensive, scathing Twitter attack on a former member of the R&B group B2K ... and it had to do with comments about Rihanna. Chris Brown Twitter Brown got into it with singer Raz B -- after Raz tweeted Brown, "Im just sittin here Thinking how can n**gas like [Eric Benet] and [Chris Brown] disrespect women as Intelligent as Halle Berry, Rihanna." Brown immediately lashed back -- writing, "n**ga you want attention! Grow up n**ga!!! Dick in da booty ass lil boy." Brown is clearly referring to allegations Raz had made a while back -- in which he clamis he was molested by his band's male manager. Brown continued his attack -- and then tried to explain himself ... tweeting, "I'm not homophobic! He's just disrespectful!!!" As we previously reported, Brown had recently posted a photo of his diploma from his court-ordered anger management program. Brown is still on probation for another couple of years.

Cesc Fabregas
Fabregas slams ref for penalty snub Cesc Fabregas was suspended for Arsenal's 2-2 draw with Wigan, but that has not stopped him from taking a rant at the referee. The Gunners were denied a penalty after Samir Nasri's free kick clearly hit James McArthur's hands in the last minute of the match. Fabregas himself was penalized for a similar handball offence during the 3-2 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in November after allegedly using his hands to block a free-kick. And referee Lee Probert's decision to not award the Gunners a penalty on Wednesday incurred the wrath of the captain. He exclaimed on his Twitter account: "What's the difference between this handball and my one versus Spurs? "Referees don't want us to complain about them but they make life difficult for themselves. "I'm not complaining at all, I'm just saying why on the same thing some refs say it's a penalty and some not. Is it a rule or just what they feel?" Manager Arsene Wenger echoed his skipper's views. "I personally did not see it but Nasri is adamant it was a 100 per cent penalty," he was quoted as saying in the Daily Telegraph newspaper. The draw means the Gunners missed the chance to go level on points with leaders Manchester United and will end the year in third place.

Ibrahim Afellay
Afellay: I can't wait to play New Barcelona acquisition Ibrahim Afellay is chomping at the bid to play alongside Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta. Barca snapped up the creative schemer from PSV Eindoven for a reported three million Euros last week and after his unveiling to the media following his medical, Afellay revealed he cannot wait to link up with the dazzling duo of Messi and Iniesta. Speaking to Barca TV, Afellay said: "They are the best in the world. I cannot wait to play with them. I cannot compare to Iniesta, he has a lot of quality. Every player is different and has their own virtues. "I wanted to play for Barcelona even before their interest in signing me, because I watched them on television. Every day when I finish training now, I stay on the field a little longer on the field with the aim of improving. "I'm still young, but I have played many games. I contested the World Cup with the Netherlands, and all this experience will do well for me." Incidentally, Afellay has become the Nou Camp outfit's 19th Dutch signing in the history of the club and he will wear the number 20 jersey for the Catalans.

Carles Puyol
Puyol facing spell on sidelines Barcelona captain Carles Puyol is set to be sidelined for up 10 days with a groin injury. The centre-back noticed the problem while representing Catalonia against Honduras on Tuesday and subsequent tests have confirmed the extent of the injury, which, according to the Barcelona website, will keep the Spain World Cup winner out for "between seven to 10 days". Barca, who are two points clear at the top of the Primera Division table, are due to play Levante and Deportivo La Coruna in the league next week as well as the second leg of their Copa del Rey last-16 tie with Athletic Bilbao, with the first leg at the Nou Camp having finished in a goalless draw.

Jose Mourinho
Pepe: I want to stay at Madrid Real Madrid centreback Pepe claims he is happy to sign a new contract with the club as long as the terms are favourable. The Portuguese defender has been embroiled in a contract stand-off with the Spanish giants in recent months but Pepe insists that he wants to stay at Madrid for the long haul. Speaking to Marca TV , Pepe said: "I hope to stay at Real Madrid. "But it depends on God. I want to stay in Madrid, but that is an issue that does not depend only on me." Pepe also believes that compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo is the total package and is not simply a flamboyant talent. "He is the most complete player in the world. Anyone who knows and works with him every day knows this. He is a team player." The former Porto marker has recently returned to the Madrid first team fold after more than a year out with knee ligament woes.

Ezequiel Garay
Garay set for Bernabeu exit Real Madrid are keen on offloading central defender Ezekiel Garay, according to reports. The Sun claims that the Spanish giants will let the Argentine star go in the January transfer window after he failed to impress following a £10million move from Racing Santander just 18 months ago. The report reckons top English clubs, Arsenal and Liverpool will compete with each other for Garay's signature - the 24-year-old could be available for as little as £8million. Garay has rarely featured under Jose Mourinho at Real this season. Injuries have left both Arsenal and Liverpool short of central defensive cover.

- Fernando Llorente
"Llorente would fit Real Madrid" Spain national team coach Vicente del Bosque sees Atheltic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente as an ideal signing for Real Madrid. The 25-year-old has impressed Del Bosque with his performances for both club and country. Benefiting from the absence of Fernando Torres, Llorente has established himself in the Spain squad having scored a number of crucial goals in the recent Euro 2012 qualifiers. Quizzed whether the striker will be an useful addition to Jose Mourinho at the Bernabeu, Del Bosque has no doubts. "Llorente would be a good signing," the 2010 World Cup winning coach told AS. "He could do very well at Madrid." The 59-year-old went on to praise both Bilbao and Barcelona, who will face off in the Copa del Rey Round of 16 second leg on 5 January after a goalless draw in the first leg. "Both Basque teams are doing well. Athletic are having a great season and Sociedad, after being promoted, is doing better than expected," he said. "Barcelona have been playing very well recently, but it will be a very open tie. It would be a bold move to make either Barcelona or Athetlic favourite. "We know Athletic's tradition in the tournament, but we also know the potential of Barcelona. In any case, it will be a great game to watch," Del Bosque concluded. Meanwhile, Del Bosque's compliments of Llorente is likely to reach the ears of Mourinho, who admitted he wants to sign a striker in the January transfer window.- Zinedine Zidane
Luca Zidane was the big star in the quarterfinals of the XV Torneo Internacional Blue BBVA Alevín de Arona Fútbol 7 [such a grand name for a tournament for children, no?] as Real Madrid beat Borussia Dortmund to advance to the semifinals. The game ended at 1-1, so it went into penalties, and Luca stopped Borussia’s last attempt to win the game 1-1 (3-2) for Madrid. Our little ones will take on Sevilla today in the semifinal, with Villarreal and Barcelona disputing the other game © unamadridista- Alvaro Arbeloa
In Spain, Dec. 28 (Día de los Santos Inocentes) is the equivalent of April Fool’s Day, where people play jokes on each other. Television channel Antena 3 has held the gala Inocente Inocente each year since 1995, where they prank famous people and raise money to help at-risk children, especially those with sicknesses or handicaps. Iker was pranked back in 2007, and this year it was the turn of Álvaro Arbeloa and Raúl Albiol. Iker was the one who had suggested pranking his two defenders. The practical joke had Raúl Albiol and Álvaro Arbeloa heading to eat at restaurant El Acebo, accompanied by their wives, who were in on the joke. Once there, they were seated at “Iker’s corner,” a section of the restaurant decorated with Iker Casillas memorabilia (the restaurant is in Boadilla del Monte). Arbeloa complained that they already see too much of Iker, and Albiol decides he’s going to sit with his back to the section. In the section, there is a little kid, Max, whom the restaurant owner introduces as his nephew and a big madridista. He says the kid’s father is an American astronaut currently in space at the International Space Station, and since it’s his birthday, they’re going to talk via a video linkup. Meanwhile, the wives and daughters find an excuse to leave… So then they bring the computer over to where 2/3 of the A team are sitting (I’m going to call them AA since Arbeloa & Albiol or even Zipi & Zape take too much time to type), so they can say hello. The astronaut waves with a manita and so the owner tells him not to do that, and AA are only too glad to demonstrate the alternative, which unfortunately is a thumbs-up. Max says he drew a picture for his dad for his cumple, and his dad shows him his surprise – a Madrid shirt. Then they all sing happy birthday. Then the dad says look what I have up here, and holds up a ball that he says has been signed by almost every member of the Spanish national team, except Iniesta and “vosotros dos chicos.” He asks them if they’ll sign it if he sends it to them, and AA agree. So the astronaut says he’ll send it to them right now, because he’s flying over Madrid at the moment and so he’ll just throw it out. The connection is then lost. Meanwhile, AA chat with Max, and ask him questions (how old are you, what position do you play…). Suddenly, something falls out of the sky. The owner reappears with the ball. At this point, Arbeloa is smiling because he’s gotten that it’s a prank, while poor Chori still looks confused. When the ball is brought in, Arbeloa starts cracking up and – this is the best part – calls Albiol an “imbécil” for taking so long to get it. The expression on Albiol’s face is priceless! In the end, Arbeloa says they had a great time, and Albiol says not to forget that the purpose of this program is to raise funds for needy children. Watch the video here. It’s worth watching to hear Álvaro’s big laugh at the end, and to see Raúl’s stupefied expression. And Álvaro also tweeted about it – saying that it was a very good joke, but that it was a bit too much, that at one point they could even see the secret cameras filming them, that they were pranked pretty good, and that they have something in store for Iker (as revenge, I suppose). © unamadridista- Jose Mourinho
José Mourinho is back in Spain after getting delayed while vacationing in New York, due to the heavy snow that caused the closure of JFK International (by the way, reader Jen wrote me to say that she had spotted TSO – and his LV luggage – at the airport) and thus the cancellation of his flight. Mou and his family were scheduled to touch down in Madrid on Monday, but did not arrive until eight last night. Today, he’ll preside over the first training session after the Christmas break and in the evening, he’ll coach Team Africa in the Champions for Africa charity game. Fun fact: while in New York, he had asked the organizers of the match to send him the list of players on his team so that he could start strategizing…- Jose Mourinho
Mourinho clashes with photographers Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho was involved in a clash with photographers at Madrid airport after returning from holidays in New York. According to Spanish newspaper El Mundo, the Portuguese and his family were swamped by photographers shortly after touching down at the airport. Mourinho appeared to be extremely annoyed with the flashing cameras and urged them to stay away from him and his family. The photographers refused to budge and the Special One allegedly hurled insults at them in full view of the public. But just when it was about to boil over, security personnel came in to intervene and reminded all there were children involved. The commotion quickly dissolved and Mourinho and his loved ones were hurriedly ushered to their vehicle.- Kaká
Agent: Kaka bound for Chelsea Forget Inter Milan - Chelsea is the likely destination for Real Madrid midfielder Kaka, according to the player's agent. The Brazilian has been vehemently linked with a move out of the Santiago Bernabeu, possibly to Inter where fellow countryman Leonardo is the new man in charge. However, his agent Ernesto Bronzetti has thrown Chelsea into the hat by insisting his client has a '90%' chance of heading to Stamford Bridge during the summer. "I am the only Italian to know [Real Madrid president] Florentino Perez very well," said Bronzetti, according to the Daily Mail. "We are bound by a ten-year friendship. I talked with him a few days ago. "Florentino is a bit stubborn and he would not accept losing a bet [on Kaka], it's the same for Maicon and [Diego] Milito, who will not go to Madrid. "[inter] have a ruthless competitor called Chelsea. If he were to leave in June, he has a 90 per cent chance of going to Chelsea and not Inter." Kaka joined Madrid in 2009 and has played 33 games for the Galaticos, scoring nine goals. - Alvaro Arbeloa
