Cesc was arguably the find of last season. At the tender age of 17 he was expected to be eased into the first-team picture, but injuries to Gilberto and Edu saw him promoted ahead of schedule.
The Spanish teenager let nobody down. His work ethic, vision and canny knack of making the right decision when in possession, Cesc slotted in seamlessly to Arsenal's fluent style of play.
He netted three times last season and became Arsenal's youngest league goalscorer when he struck against Blackburn on the night the Gunners broke Nottingham Forest's unbeaten record.
