Actually One hit wonder era is not too bad as an overall term. Though I think it would be a bit too harsh since there are promising models who are pushed by the industry: Joan, Arizona... I guess we don't know whether they'll become supers. Time will tell. Atleast I hope that this whole newbie thing slows down a bit. It's going a little bit too far for me now - there are so many girls who are incredibly talented and drop-dead-beautiful but the industry just drops them like nobodys. It's going on and on so you can't even be happy for models that start out as Calvin Klein exclusives or Prada or Balenciaga. It doesn't mean anything anymore. Because next season? There are younger girls who'll take over your place. Times have really changed and even the biggest models from the 00ies have such a hard time (Vlada, Snejana..?). It's sad.
