for what i've seen you seem to have met all the angels so who do you find the most stunning in person and who not? i'm just curious I have met all the angels (since 2007) except Alessandra, Lindsay, Rosie, and Elsa. The most stunning/striking in person is by far Adriana. She has an amazing presence and energy about her that is unique. Plus her eyes are shockingly blue in person; you don't notice it as much in pictures. She's really nice to talk to and is really charismatic. Candice and Doutzen are the second most stunning models in person I would say. Doutzen is a million times more beautiful in person. Her face is beyond perfect, it looks like it was carved by an angel. Plus she has a really soft voice and a sweet demeanor. Candice is visually stunning as well, exactly as she is in pictures. She's a lot smaller in person than you would expect. Her voice is EXACTLY the same as you would expect though - really soft and slow. She's pretty nice too. All the other angels I would classify as "pretty," not necessarily as striking as the others. Miranda is tiny tiny in person as well. She gives off a bit of a "fake nice" vibe. She's super pretty though. Erin is a lot smaller than one would expect in person too. She's also very girly, American pretty. Behati is very very lanky in person. She has a really cute face too. Lais also falls into this category. Lily is all around pretty too. Karlie is probably the least striking in person I would say. However, she has a lot more presence than the other angels. Plus she's very very tall (as one would imagine haha). Personality wise, I would say the most pleasant ones are Lily, Lais, and Doutzen. Not that the others are bad, but those three are just the nicest. Izabel Goulart though is by far the nicest model (maybe even person) that I have ever met. She kissed me twice on the cheek, asked my name, asked about me, and overall treated me like a friend. Super nice of her, and it was genuine. As for non-angels: Martha does nothing for me in person. She's basically a far lesser version of Candice. She's really nice, but meh. Shanina is super striking. Cindy Bruna is too, and she is incredibly humble. Same for Lily Donaldson (in my user pic) haha

You disagree? Vague comment - at least say something that adds to the thread. I personally think that Doutzen is stunning on all accounts. Beauty, body, hair, skin, face, personality. Her voice is lovely too. I had the pleasure of meeting her in person and she was so sweet and humble. And she looks a million times more stunning in person too.

She definitely suffers from the "bitchy resting face." She definitely does look intimidating in person when she's not smiling! But I can assure you that her smile in person lights up an entire room haha.

She's barely a model anymore. She's a glorified "groupie" now, let's be real. Her hair/wardrobe is not doing her any favors either. Seriously, what has happened to her?! She had an awesome year in 2012 and then her career plummeted. She needs new management ASAP. And it's no secret that VS dropped Barbara because she got out of shape. She was turned away at the VSFS casting; this was obvious since she confirmed to a fan account that she was hoping to be casted.

Doutzen is otherworldly.

Yeah that shot is hot as hell. It was probably deemed too explicit for the final cut. Same with the shot of Kate and her boobs leaning over the sand. Damn, I wish SI would be more risque. If it wasn't an American magazine, it totally would be.

The shot of Nina lying down in a beach chair and taking her bottom piece off is everything.

Guess is a horrible offender when it comes to photoshop overload. Samantha may have been suited to those "glam" sexy shoots, but definitely not the more au naturale approach that SI takes.

She's not bad looking, she just isn't special, per say. She looks like any hot Californian surfer. Nothing makes her stand out, which is what ROTY should be all about. Plus she's terrible at modeling (which her SI shoot proved). She looked very uncomfortable and her facial expressions were off. These are small elements but they come together in a shoot and make it a disaster. She was probably casted because she represents Marisa Miller. She does in a way, and you can't deny that the resemblance is uncanny, but Marisa had a much better everything (face, body, modeling skills).

*Officially* for the moment its Adriana, Alessandra, Doutzen, Behati, Candice, Lily, Karlie, Lindsay - 100% Elsa is the main PINK spokesmodel and Lais has had a questionable "angel" status for a while (they dropped her name in the opening credits of the VSFS 2011, and she was slated to have a meet and great event which got cancelled due to the Boston Marathon bombings)

Wait Jasmine, as in Jasmine Tookes? That's actually quite exciting! Her work for VS is usually great. Lais is probably walking in shows for FW so they used Jasmine instead. Nadine is basically the replacement for Erin. I'm curious to see how she will photograph for summer. Unfortunately, once Adriana, Ale, and Doutzen leave that will be the angel line up. Sad, I know...

they definitely dont show the real votes sometimes....gigi , sara have fan bases but besides that actually i seen some guys(but def guys with bad taste, milf/cougar lovers? , big titties lovers?) lovin her so.... we know she sucks but well . the votes have to change sooner or later tho. While this is true, those aren't the guys that are sitting on the SI homepage voting non stop haha Those are the guys that are looking at her pictures with their pants unzipped. If it was rigged, wouldn't SI give some "votes" to Lily to save face? They wouldn't want a girl on their cover being in last place in the ROTY poll I would assume? Lily also has a pretty sizable fan base because of VS and KOL. Maybe she just didn't advertise at all? All the other girls (namely Sara, Gigi, and Bregje) made Instagrams and Tweets to get people to vote. I doubt Lily cares. I also wonder if Lily was just a one time deal, so maybe SI doesn't want her to win ROTY; they would be better off giving it to a girl who could become and SI regular. What do you guys think? Just met Behati! My opinion of her has completely changed (for the good). She was filming something for the VS YouTube account, When she was done I approached her, introduced myself and asked (politely) for a picture. The VS security guards got in my face and were like "no way, she can't". However a few moments later she came over to me and was like "let's just take one now!" hahaha god I love her

What exactly "happens" when a model wins ROTY? Are they officially guaranteed a slot for next year, or is that just tradition? Are there other built-in benefits besides just bragging rights and/or press?

Why are y'all so quick to say that Ale wouldn't get her boobs done? She admitted on the Tyra show years back that she is open about plastic surgery, and considered getting her boobs done. She got her ears done when she was a child. Subsequently, she said on the Fashion Police a few weeks ago that she was too scared of plastic surgery after getting her ears done. Yet on the Tyra show she said she was thinking about getting her boobs done. Something isn't lining up....
