The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920) german movie of Robert Wiene plot : The deranged Dr. Caligari and his faithful sleepwalking Cesare are connected to a series of murders in a German mountain village, Holstenwall. Caligari introduces the main narrative using a frame story in which most of the plot is presented as a flashback, as told by Francis (one of the earliest examples of a frame story in film). The narrator, Francis, and his friend Alan visit a carnival in the village where they see Dr. Caligari and the somnambulist Cesare, whom the doctor is displaying as an attraction. Caligari hawks that Cesare can answer any question he is asked. When Alan asks Cesare how long he has to live, Cesare tells Alan that he will die before dawn tomorrow – a prophecy which is fulfilled. Francis, along with his betrothed Jane, investigate Caligari and Cesare, which eventually results in Cesare kidnapping Jane. Caligari orders Cesare to kill Jane, but the hypnotized slave refuses after her beauty captivates him. He carries Jane out of her house, leading the townsfolk on a lengthy chase. Cesare dies of exhaustion after discarding Jane at the end of the pursuit, and the townsfolk discover that Caligari had created a dummy of Cesare to distract Francis.

Blind Beast (1969) japanese movie of Yasuzo Masumara plot : The original story featured Michio, a psychopathic blind sculpture who under the guise of an itinerant masseur roams the land in search of suitable female body parts to construct into the perfect sensual sculpture. In Masumura's hands the plot is stripped down to its basic atoms. There is only one victim here to form the basis of the sculptor's latest work, a shapely young model called Aki, abducted in the initial scenes. The rest of the action takes place in one location, the artist's cavernous studio in the basement of a secluded house, each wall covered in biomorphic swells representing parts of the female anatomy - breasts, eyes, lips. The studio is dominated by two recumbent sculptures of male and female nudes. Masumura depicts this claustrophobic milieu with an edgy, hallucinogenic intensity that borders on hyper-realism to explore the cloying, all-encompassing relationship between the artist and his art and the obsessive closed world that the artist inhabits. As Michio maps out the curves of his subject in his attempt to reproduce her in clay, the two engage in a continuous stream of dialogue, and as Aki's fear for her capture turns to respect, she eventually reciprocates to his intense tactile fixation on her body. The two enter into a strange sado-masochistic relationship that, in a squirm-inducing finale reminiscent of Nagisa Oshima's In the Realm of the Senses (Ai No Koriida, 1976) and Jennifer Lynch's Boxing Helena (1993), culminates in each of the model's limbs being severed from her torso. Given the rather static nature of the mise-en-scène, Masumura must be admired for stretching out such an elementary idea to feature length, yet the most overwhelming impression of this film is its deliciously overwrought visual style, conjuring up such a vivid and endlessly interesting, self-contained cinematic world inside the claustrophobic confines of Michio's studio. Yes, Moju really is as outlandish as it sounds, and must rank as one of the most powerful and potently disturbing horror films ever conceived. For anyone with any interest in the horror/fantasy genre, this is quite simply mandatory viewing. A classic.

The Witches or Witchcraft Through The Ages (1922) swedish-danish movie of Benjamin Christensen plot : The first part of the film is a scholarly dissertation on the appearances of demons and witches in primitive and medieval culture. A number of photographs of statuary, paintings, and woodcuts are used as demonstrative pieces. In addition, several large scale models are employed to demonstrate medieval concepts of the structure of the solar system and the commonly accepted depiction of Hell. The second part of the film is a series of vignettes theatrically demonstrating medieval superstition and beliefs concerning witchcraft. These include Satan (played by Christensen himself) tempting a sleeping woman away from her husband's bed and terrorizing a group of monks. Also shown is a woman purchasing a love potion from a supposed witch, and a sequence showing a supposed witch dreaming of flying through the air and attending a witches' gathering. The third part of the film is a long narrative broken up into several parts. Set in the Middle Ages, it concerns an old woman accused of witchcraft by a dying man's family. The narrative is used to demonstrate the treatment of suspected witches by the religious authorities of the time. The old woman, after being tortured, admits to heavy involvement in witchcraft, including detailed descriptions of a Witches' Sabbath, even going so far as to "name" other supposed witches, including two of the women in the dying man's household. Eventually, the dying man's wife is arrested as a witch when she admits that she falsely accused the old woman of witchcraft. His case revolves around vignettes about a somnambulist and a kleptomaniac, the implication being that these behaviors would have been thought of as demonically-influenced in medieval times whereas modern times recognizes them as psychological ailments the re-released version narrated by William S. I don't know the specifics about your personal life and I am addressing you as a woman. You are a very interesting & humane woman, knowledgeable about many unusual things and I have always enjoyed writing to you and looking at the artwork you take time to post. It is not out of disrespect for you that I wrote my previous post rather cautiously. Masters of Death- for instance is about the specially indoctrinated, trained & picked units of men that followed the German Army into the East to personally execute over a million and a half people with poison gas vans and handheld weapons. anyway, they know how attract people, listen them and give answers and solutions. they understand your weakness and use it to manipulate you. the fact is, during the 30's germany was in crisis and people needed a guilty and here there is nothing new. since centuries people do the same and they still do in third world countries or even in civilised countries with gang wars. killed people because of money and racisme because they come from another district and this kind of thing won't stop because their boss enjoy these wars. if they was a single boss, in the end everybody could grow up and threatened his position of leader but the gang members rarely understand it and their are ready to kill and torture someone without regret just because this is what they should do and they enemy won't have pity and everything come from it. pity. jews have always been know as a very close community and this link created angst, hate and frustation. they were the answer, the guilty of this misery and hitler was very charismatic person. but opposite to 95% of normal politician, he believed in the things he said. he was motivate and ready to act. unfortunately at the beginning some important people didn't understood it. anyway the 30's very a very special periode. there were planes, cars, phones and radios. i means, technology was here, enough important to communicate and make a big mess but very limited so not enough important to share different opinions. by the way when you know all the billaird of people who believe in god that they never saw, or never proved of their existance and a part of them through history have been ready to die and kill for it, you can understand how hilter could get important. he was like a god. he brought answer but opposite to god, he was there, alive. as i already said, fame is the religion of the XX century. people always look for answer, always need affection, someone you could love them, cheer them, give the feeling they are important and take care of them. now people love famous people as they loved god. i'm often in the music industry and i already watched fans/stalker. this is very special world but more the person is famous and more they can attract a psychopath. i mean, someone who only think about himself and his obsession and who doesn't put limits. as i already explained obsessed come from stimulation and stimulation is increased by community because when you're a single man, it's always easier to be demotivate and stop everything but when you're in a community, you often become friends with other members, so they share they same opinion, passion and the day where you would like to stop everything, they always try to change your mind. as i already said, more there are members and more there are chance to have a psychopath into your crew so they will be the kind of poeple who will push the limits and they often bring another people in their trip and then if they aren't stopped, then "all" the crew do the same and in the end, they banalised their acts and i think that's why hilter and nasi has been so violent. because of the important number of nazi member and the gradual violence there are few years ago, i saw fans spent one night in front of the concert hall to be at the first row of the show of their favorite band. another fans were jalouse and started to do the same. because of it, another fans decided to sleep 3 or 4 days before the show in front of the concert hall to be the first. then the 3 days get 5, the, a week, 2 weeks even 3 weeks in the winter with temperature near of 0°C. there are 3 years ago i saw something like 100 people ready to sleep 3 weeks in the street, during the winter just to be at their f*cking first row. i was furious and because there were teenagers and i learnt they said to their parents they were in vacations (because it was the vacations) and all the teens said the same and in fact they were in front of concert hall. he called to police to make them move but these jerks just moved to the park in front of the concert hall and slept there. result 2 teenagers have been raped in the park (and fortunately nobody has been seriously sick). the day before the show there were more than one thousand to sleep in the street. (one year later i learnt one of the girl one the first row has pissed on her during the show to stay where she was and there were something like 400 people who fainted during the gig!) 4 months later, in june 2008, is aw fans of the same band ready to sleep one month in front of the concert hall for the next gig. they got worst because before there were always fans who rented hotel rooms. they left the place where they stay in the street and they went to the toilets and took a shower but there they refused to move. i means, they didn't take shower and they put a towel around their hips and they pissed, sh*ted; put their tampons in bottles of water. fortunately it was their last show and the band took a break to record new stuff. anyway, even if all this can sound crazy, because of the fan community, they banalized their act because they all do the same, so for them their act were normal and when they also hurted another fan with lighters, keys and thought it was normal. and for the nazi it was the same. hate has been stimulate by community and because of it they banalised their act (like people from gangs do). in the end, murder and torture can get a kind routine. but the fact is, it included so many people than everybdoy weren't enough strong to tolerate it and that's why they created gaz chambers. i was a way to cut this reality, stay far away of the reality of their crimes. sorry if i wrote a long message but i don't think that's a problem and i just answer to your message. i'm the kind of person who prefer developpe my own thought, idea even if they can be sh*tty than quote somebody. quote or books' tittle absolutely don't interest me (and more particularly books i don't know so i'm like obligated to trust the person - but here i even can't really trust you because your advice are empty of real opinion - and i won't lose my time to read 1000 different books who all say more or less the same thing to say "i know".) because they don't reflect people mind and their real way to think. and it's as easy for someone with "sh*tty musicial tastes to pretend he loves the beatles as it as easy for a stupid person to quote einstein.
