Shooting VS Pink in St. Barths

I've translated Viva!Moda interview with Jac. Hope it's understandable Do you eat sometimes? Of course I do. I like eating and cooking. I eat mostly kasha, vegetables and fish – dietetic banal, but sometimes I take something unhealthy. When I’m in NY I let my friends or boyfriend take me to a restaurant and eat for example a burger. Food is too important for me to give it up on it completely. Luckily I’m not fond of sweets. Do you read Bourdain, because you miss a lot of flavours? I rather read his books because of curiosity. I’ve been watching his TV show for a long time, I like that he’s showing the variety of different places of the World. I got his book accidently, but he proved himself to be even better writer than showman. What does your body mean to you? However it may sound it’s my working equipment. I have to care of it and I simple feel better when I’m looking good. You’re almost 20 years old. You’ve been working for 6 years now. Do you treat your body differently? Of course I do. I’m noticing it’s changing. During the early years as a model I didn’t have to do anything special, now I have to put some work. I’m working for Victoria’s Secret, I’m advertising lingerie – they want my body to look healthy, therefore I don’t have to starve myself, as it happens sometimes in high fashion. But I have to take care of my body. This means? Exercising. My dad is a track and field coach, my sister a professional athlete. Sport is what my family do during the leisure time. I was about 4 when we started to go to sport camps regularly. I stopped when I was 16 or 17 and I already had to jungle my fashion career in Europe and school back in Poland. There was no enough time to practise sport. In may I passed my Matura exams and I realized I have to take care of myself. I try to work out every day, otherwise I feel guilty. In NY I go to yoga classes. If I work for the whole day, I go to a hotel gym. I jog for a half an hour, then do some exercises on my stomach, legs, bottocks. When I cannot go to gym I still do some exercises – 200 sit-ups per day is a minimum. What about cosmetics, treatment? I don’t have any favorite one. I spend half of my life on plane, so I have to moisturize my skin. I’m still trying new body lotions, I don’t’ want my skin to get used to any. I drink a lot of water and I always carry a lip balm with me– it saves my life during flights. Usually I fly by night, if I have any skin problems I apply Origins zinc mask and I sit there with my face in dots. Advertising clients treat you differently since you’ve grown up? Yes, only those who like me for who I’m and not because I’m “in” have stayed. When I started there was a “boom”. Some wanted to hire me just because others worked with me. Many offers of commercial work have appeared recently. They make me feel more secure. The contracts are stable and predictable, photoshoots start at 9 am and end at 6 pm. It’s kind of like getting a stable work contact after years of temporary contracts. In the world of high fashion it happens that you work in a studio for the whole week and in the end the photos are not published and you get 100 euro. In our shoot you’re naked. You keep on doing this kind of editorials more often than you used in the past. Yes. And I like it. I did this kind of shoots when I was younger, but they’re more important to me now. To be honest I feel more comfortable without any clothes than in overcomplicated ones. The most important part is to know the intentions of a photographer. If I sense, the photographer doesn’t want to create a masterpiece, he just wants to see me naked, I refuse to do the shoot. When it comes to the art I have no limits. During summer I did a ver daring editorial for Anja Rubik’s 25 Magazine. I had some doubts I revealed too much and I’m still not sure I did the right thing. Photos were taken by Johan Lindeberg, she made the studio in his apartment. It was a fantastically organized shoot. Before he invited me he did some tests with other model. In this editorial I appear naked in two versions: as a very confident woman in the perfect hair and makeup and sauté, with no retouching. I’m very curious about the final result. As a teenager were you sometimes sent away by the photographers? Yes. Once I was sent to a casting to Inez & Vinoodh. I took my book and went straight to their house. Someone opened the door, I said why I was there. One look at my book and they slammed the door in my face. They had the rule they didn’t work with underage models. Actually I think they are right about it. Right about it? I started my career really early but I was lucky enough I was never put in uncomfortable situation. I did some amazing shoots for Chanel, but I was never forced to take my clothes off with no good reason. Years passing I got a perspective that girls who don’t’ know from their own experience what sexuality really is shouldn’t pose naked. They pretend something they have no idea about. And it’s not good neither for art, neither for the models. Some people while watching your pictures say your waist is a result of the photoshop, it’s impossible to have one like yours. But it’s possible, it’s the genes. There’s a story in my family that when the parents of my dad met my grandpa’s hands could meet around my grandma’s waist – it was so small. So I got my grandma’s waist and my dad’s height.

I love new VS Pink pictures makeup is great and she looks super cute (although I can't wait for more VS work - I still think she suits the mainline better).

Her agency states she's 5'10 but she's taller than that. And she must have worked on her body, because I don't remember her stomach was ever so toned
