I was glad to see new stuff from Emily but OH. MY. GOD! Was she auditioning to be a member of the blue man group :shock:? I don't really get the concept except they were wearing a minimalism style. models.com

She was SMOKING hot at the Cannes film festival! I wasn't a fan of the first dress she wore but everything else was WOW ! I love the the sets of photos with KK in that orange dress. It's just effortless including her husband Archie (yes she's married).

I found it refreshing to see Valentina doing other shows in a while. Since being a RL exclusive, it was starting get tiring just seeing her as only the "RL model" compared to being everywhere during her runway days. She obviously doesn't need to with how well she's doing as a exclusive and has the luxury of relaxing in a lounge chair compared to newbies.

Nice to know she's making more public appearances . Just glad to know Doutzen is getting to do solo launch at her events during the VS summer tour and attending Cannes. I don't really know what to make about her father's situation but at least he's getting help. I'll leave it at that since it seems way too personal.

Honestly I wouldn't know, mainly because it's ultimately up to what the industry sees in Emily. Since we're talking hypothetical terms , I think she would fit the Italian labels like Dolce & Gabbana and so forth but I don't know. For me, it would work if we see her doing more runway to see versatility and how models look when designers release new collections. I wish she had a better runway work but doesn't mean Emily hasn't booked a lot of great gigs like face of Giorgio Armani 'Acqua Di Gioia' fragrance and of course Maybelline. I just think she's really underrated as a HF model. EDIT: found an older behind the scenes video with Emily and the other Maybelline models for "Baby Lips" lipbalm.

It's nice to see Natalia making more appearances like Cannes. I don't really think of Grace Kelly when I look at Natalia because Doutzen and Carolyn bear a more striking resemblance. When Natalia became the face of CK, she was apparently chosen by Calvin himself because she reminded him of a young Brooke Shields when Brooke was the CK model.

No, I just think it's just respecting their wishes but honestly it's effin' tiring to see the same arguments throughout this thread and going off topic. I could care less but what I mainly focus is on Emily as a model working on new projects, attending events or news regarding her. Speaking of news, she's no longer on the Marilyn Paris site. Looks like she's with IMG worldwide.

Usually they do. It just looked simple and nothing cheap. I like the second dress much better . It brightens her up more and a simple updo like a ponytail looks amazing on her!

It really sucks to see this thread on a dry spell . She seems to enjoy her little break and continuing to work part time with mostly Maybelline. Hopefully we will see some new projects out. I like to see her in more editorials and campaigns. It's weird that in a sense, she's sort of in a way a well known model but really underrated choice when she does her HF work.

Okay... the GV dress actually looks a bit boxy on her in these red carpet photos . She looks better in the self-cam pics. Now all we wait to see next are VS opening appearance in Calgary and Cannes film festival! Yay more Doutzen.

I actually love it . That's one of my favorite dresses by Giambattista Valli and I'm glad she gets to wear it. She looks impeccably gorgeous in fresh faced like makeup and simplicity goes a long way. Definitely an improvement from the blue tulle that made her look like she was a cupcake.

It's exciting to see her land a lead movie role. She's done some acting before right? I swear I thought I saw her in a really small role in "Bus Palladium" that had Marc-Andre Grondin (my favourite French-Canadian actor) and Elisa Elisa Sednaoui.

I just don't see Doutzen missing Cannes film festival or the MET gala since she's basically become a fixture at both events . I'm hoping she'll be provided with beautiful gowns at Cannes, I haven't really loved her looks at premieres since her first appearance in the white Cavalli.

I'm sure behind the scenes pic is fine as long as it's public and not intrusive. Hmm wonder what had happened to that commercial with Julia and Emily, because they filmed that almost a year ago. All I have to say is, FINALLY! It's been a while since I last saw Ryan's work bit I'm glad he's not in some bubble of obscurity . Honestly ever since that break he took, it kind of affected the jobs he usually books (especially runway). It's tough to see that as a fan but I'm just glad we still see him around.

I can't wait to see her back with VS. It felt weird not seeing her during the 2010 show but at least she'll rock it in 2011 ! I'm hoping when she does launches again it'll be alongside Adriana or maybe even a solo one. Both compliment each other so well.
