Up-and-coming actress Monica Raymund, who stars as the emotional and feisty Lightman Group employee Ria Torres on Lie To Me, was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. When she was just four years old, Monica was already playing the piano. At an early age, Monica has displayed extraordinary talent, a passion for singing, and an inclination towards the arts, which her father noticed while she did an impromptu vocal performance during her bat mitzvah. She had her first theater experience in a lead role in a school production when she was 12 and took voice lessons at 13.
