  2. Pshhh those items would not sell at all without the models
  3. Is not essential but if you can have it, why turning it down? Alessandra & Adriana clearly had a great relationship with VS so far so it's a win win for everyone, but I don't see VS crying over losing Tyra, Heidi or Gisele, they pretty much gave zero fucks about them leaving. The only one who got something 'special' was Tyra and it was mostly because she was officially retiring from modeling and not because VS was worried about their $ after she left. Adriana and Alessandra are not making as much with VS anymore either because they cut their work load, the fact that VS let Adriana go back to Maybelline shows you how little they care about it these days. Don't kid yourself Gab, models are replaceable but the VS money pays their girls in most cases is not replaceable or at least not easily, especially when you are 25+ in an industry were you peak at 20 (or younger). That's why the models stick around with the brand for so long if they are given the chance. Back in the 90's and early 00's VS did need famous women to establish themselves and gain loyal costumers, now they have that and they know people will buy their products regardless of who is wearing them, that's why they don't have to get established models like Joan and pay her a shit lot of money when they can have cheap little Grace/Lais/Daniela sell the same product to the same target audience for a cheaper price. Lol, you mean because VS has a nice relationship with Ale and Adriana, they just have millions sitting their for them annually waiting for them to grab it and go back home even though they don't have much to do with them? Like, this isn't a business at all. I see your logic. And wasn't the reason why Adriana went back to Maybelline because VS stopped the beauty line or something like that? When was the last time Adriana wasn't involved in all the major VS press related stuff? I mean, she fronts every single press related thing by VS and sometimes alone.she don't need to be in no catalog no more, just the illusion that she's everything thing VS works well. And lets not pretend VS didn't hold on to Heidi until the first greys of her hair popped out or that they basically exploited Gisele. of course they will move on it the models leave, but that doesn't mean they don't give a shit. VS did not stop their beauty line at all They simply decided Adriana wasn't worth the money she was asking for and let her go back to Maybelline, instead now Jasmine who probably has a much cheaper rate is selling those perfumes and guess what? People is still buying them.As I said, Adriana and Alessandra are no longer making as much with VS precisely because their work with VS has decreased, even more this year. VS is known to drop models when they start demanding too much, is just that Adriana and Alessandra have decided to stay with the brand instead. But hey, if you really really want to believe VS is worried or care about their brand after they leave please do so, whatever makes you happy Also don't act like Dri, Candice, Lily and Ale were relevant before VS because they were unknown women to everyone, so I don't see how getting new faces now is any different than it was 10-15 years ago when it's literally the same, as much as I'd like to see some well known girls getting contracts i don't understand why everyone bitchs about the new girls being random girls o.o Ok, I stand corrected. I could've sworn I read something like VS beauty not working anymore...ssomething like that. But are you going to hurry up and tell us the position you hold at VS or what? or you're just incredibly talented in making your presumptions come off as facts? Because you couldn't possibly know the main reason why Adriana left VS beauty. It could have been due to countless factors, like maybe she herself wanted to go back to Maybelline, or Maybelline snatched her back when her VS beauty contract ended and offered her more money like VS did when her Maybelline contract eneded all those years ago. Or just because Maybelline is more credible than VS beauty. Also, just because Jasmine is all over VS beauty now doesn't mean she replaced Adriana. For while she came cheaper, they are selling to different target audiences. Jasmine is black, she's selling to black women, Adriana is selling to Latinas and can even attract Caucasians, the combination is much broader than Jasmine's audience. And who told you, Ale/Adriana's contracts' have been reduced. While what you said makes sense, because they are indeed working less and less for them. What knowledge of their contracts do you have? I actually know people who works with them It's a combination of both knowing people and having common sense for certain things such as: work load reduced to a minimum -> paycheck reduced to a minimum. As you mentioned yourself, VS doesn't have money sitting just for them Anyhow I'm done with this discussion cuz I ain't getting in the "Jasmine sells to black women" shit o.o

  5. ^ Or maybe she was just being her 23 years old self? #beentheredonethat Is not essential but if you can have it, why turning it down? 6. Candice - 10 sexy lingerie with good accessories, we need more of this VS (Y) Karlie - 2 i can't express how much I hate the capes, or maybe I'm still traumatized by how Karlie pulled a Batman with it
  7. Muerica x9 I can't with Lara and Milou
  8. ^ Yup. Get your head out your asses y'all, VS does not need anyone to sell their products. It's like saying Chanel, Dior, D&G and others sell more or less depending of who fronts their campaigns. The reality is, the average Jane & Joe don't know/don't care who is the model they're looking at as long as it's a hot girl.
  9. Petra JK! I think it's obvious i'm Team Adriana all the way
  10. Clauds replied to Neo52285's post in a topic in Adriana Lima
I've reported it multiple times The comments about Adriana's personal life are way too much and insulting, saying she's done couch auditions it's basically the same as calling the woman a hooker in different words (which is literally in this same page), and that's just one of many things such as: she dumped her husband because she wanted with Cedric, insulting her boyfriend, saying she doesn't take care of her kids for whatever reason, etc. That's not giving an opinion or doing some constructive criticism, that's just coming here pretending to be a dumb fan and insulting her.
  11. Cindy - 9 Elsa - 8.5 because the boots I'm not a huge fan of.
  12. I could think of at least 2 recent competitions Adriana didn't win. She doesn't have fans for nothing either. I'm not personally a huge fan, but you can't deny that she's a great representation of the brand. Yup. Adriana is IMO the most iconic VS Angel ever, not because I love her but because she was the VS dream: A young model who was relatively an unknown, VS discovered her, made her a huge star and is now one of the most famous and popular from her generation and based solely on her VS work: she hasn't done movies, television, doesn't have her own line of anything, doesn't have a famous husband, she's known just for being a VS Angel. It's something VS has tried to do with every other model they've contracted and has failed to do so, the closest they've been to do it again is Candice.
  13. Is it really safe to say that? I mean yes, VS is a large company and will definitely always make money. However, part of the allure of the brand is the hot, larger than life supermodels behind it. The likes of Gisele, Heidi, Tyra, Adriana, etc helped make VS the brand that it is today. If that legacy isn't continued, what does it mean for the brand in the future? They need at least SOME star power. Don't you mean to say that part of the allure of the brand is the hot, larger than life supermodels is for us, cause I can promise you the that average person on the street gives zero fucks who modeling the lingerie and they care even less about trying to figure out who they are. It seems pretty safe to assume the average person just want to buy underwear/lingerie without having to go to a million and one stores in the mall to find something remotely stylish or sexy, and because VS is easily the most recognizable place to buy said "stylish" underwear, they consumer will gravitate towards the store to buy regardless. At this point I'm pretty damn sure VS could fire every model they have, replace them with a couple of unknown girls and switch them out every 7 months for a new face/body and the masses would still enter the mall and go to vs. To bring in soccer analogy (if anyone here can follow it a bit), VS are like Real Madrid, sure they can win a title with good balanced team, but they need that $100+ million player. They need prestige, elitism over anything else. Same with VS. Here's the difference: VS needed the supermodels to establish themselves and become and even bigger and better brand, gain fame + fame coverage and a loyal costumer base. They already have all those things, now VS doesn't need the models, the models need VS because along with SI those are the only two ways to become known-ish name. Real Madrid sucks so hard even if they overpay their players needs to win tittles to make money yearly because they need to sell tickets, merchandising + the sweet tv rights deal that increase or decrease depending on how success their team is. If any sports team has a sucky first half of the year, who is going to keep watching the games? No one, if VS drops every model and replaces them with unknown girls, who is going to give a fuck? No one, everyone will keep buying their products no matter what.

doesnt she want to be actress for many years. how do you think she gets a role.and after she split from husband her modelling career boosted.how do you think she gets all these covers eds campaigns How the fuck are you not banned already? Seriously. +1 This is absolute bullshit and it annoys me to see the staff do nothing about it o.o
  15. ^ Karolina got it in 2002 without being an Angel and then got it in 2006 after being an Angel for 12 month. Marisa was signed in 2007 and got it in 2009. This year it'll be Candice or Adriana, maybe juuust maybe Behati. All the others have no chance tbh.

    Perfection for glass magazine (Y)
  18. Gemma - 1 Doutzen - 2 1.5 each Victoria - 1 Romee - 2
  19. Magdalena - 3 not a fan of that piece of lingerie, I don't like the shoes and wtf with the ugly capes!? Eniko - 5
  20. At this point Jasmine and Martha are familiar faces too tho, unless you've missed the past too many VS commercials there's no way in hell you haven't seen those two o.O As for Jac, she is the queen of catalogs these days so again, regular costumers will know her face as much as Elsa's. Probably same for Sara, the only ones coming out of nowhere are Taylor, Romee and Kate.

I think the only person comparing Kate to that woman is her and her management she wishes she really was the next Kate but that ain't happening. I'm excited to see how Kate does in movies, to me it seems like she decided to step down from SI and let people have a break from her before starting to act more which seems like a smart choice to me. I wish Kate the best (Y)
  22. Cutting Adriana and Alessandra last year would have been the dumbest thing ever, their 20th Show is this year and they're going to do something huge about it, what better to send off one (or two) of your biggest models ever than in the biggest show to date? Heck I even expect some former Angels to attend the show front-row or something. I called VS cutting girls and contracting new faces a couple months ago and everyone was like NOPE. But honestly the signs have been there for a while now o.o --> In before Alessandra & Lily get dropped after this year's show, probably Adriana too. Candice and Behati to slow down as fuck and be the new Adriana & Alessandra ---> Elsa, Martha, Stella, Jasmine & Jac to be the new lineup.
