Gwen Stefani Disappoints Her Fans Gwen Stefani was seen arriving back at her New York City hotel in the early dawn hours last night after performing in concert in New Jersey with No Doubt. The 39-year-old lead singer was rushed into her hotel telling her awaiting fans that she would return shortly. However, shortly after, a tour manager was sent down to apologize for not being able to stop and sign autographs and not returning. Meanwhile, Gwen is dismissing rumours No Doubt’s reunion has been marred by tension between bandmates, insisting they’ve overcome that “air bubble.” Reports suggested Gwen struggled to fit back into the band, but she insists any tension has disappeared since a “heated conversation” with bassist and ex-boyfriend Tony Kanal over the band’s cover of Adam and the Ants‘ Stand and Deliver. She tells Elle magazine, “Everybody’s making it like there’s all this tension, you know, like I stepped away from the band and now they’re jealous of me, and look, maybe there is a little bit of that… but some fights aren’t really what they seem. I think it was a little about the song, and a little about our coming back together. There was this air bubble that needed to pop, you know?” June 26, 2009

Learning about Ali Entering show business was a result of chance and opportunity rather than a master plan I designed for myself. My success in the Miss Louisiana pageant and the subsequent title of Miss USA was the launching pad for a career and life I couldn’t have dreamed of in my sleepy, Southern town of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. My breakthrough role in Hollywood was starring as the first spokeswoman for Doritos during the 1998 Super Bowl commercials. I became a household name overnight and the path of my career was altered in an instant. The Doritos campaign was a great opportunity for me personally and helped transition me from modeling to acting. I worked hard to get recurring roles on “Felicity,” “Two Guys and a Girl,” “Sunset Beach,” and “Popular, ” in addition to three seasons on the hit UPN network series “Eve.” In addition to acting, I found hosting to be a perfect fit for me. I love to interact with people, ask questions, and I feel very strongly that everyone has a story. My hosting credits include the music-talk show "Farm Club.com," NBC's "Spy TV,” and "Full Frontal Fashion" on WE. I couldn’t have known that all of my ups and downs in Hollywood would have prepared me to play a role that I had been waiting for, Celia, a mother who’s torment and anguish over a tragic accident involving her daughter was personally inspiring to me. Not only was I ecstatic to break out of my mold in Bella, but it was also during this time in my life when I met and married my husband, Alejandro Monteverde. I had never been involved in a project like Bella and it made me reevaluate my role in this industry. After Bella won the top award at the Toronto Film Festival in 2006, my husband and I, along with a team from Metanoia Films, traveled the country promoting Bella in every major city in America. Along with my new marriage, film and outlook on my career, we found out we were expecting a little girl. The birth of my daughter, Estela Ines, challenged me in so many ways. I made a decision at that point to walk consciously through life and to be the best wife, mother, daughter and friend I could be. Estela Ines was born on July 10th, 2007 and I can credit her for making me the happiest and most balanced I’ve been in my life. Today, I’m getting back into the swing of things with ABC’s “Superstars” airing June 23rd, a fun and informative show on Yahoo! about celebrity mothers called “Spotlight to Nightlight” airing weekly, and my new children’s line, Belle Parish which will hit stores soon! Anything I do these days involves my passion for being a mother and finding ways to stay connected to mothers everywhere.

Welcome moiselles Angelina Jolie on Keeping the Birthday Candles Handy In the Jolie-Pitt household, just as there is no shortage of children — there is no shortage of reasons to celebrate! During a Thursday interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper actress Angelina Jolie called the never-ending birthday party phenomenon she experiences with partner Brad Pitt “one of the great pleasures in life.” “I do have the twins, and I just had Shi in May. We have so many kids that we just have year-round birthdays. It’s a lot of fun now ’cause the older kids are old enough to help plan the birthdays for the younger kids.” Angelina conducted to the interview to help mark World Refugee Day, and she noted that some of her six children are from countries that have seen conflict. ”I usually just explain to them that there are other families in the world that aren’t as fortunate as ours and other kids,” Angelina, 34, said. ”And so I tell them that it’s important for all of us to do what we can and then go to these places and understand what’s happening.” As a result, Maddox Chivan, 7 ½, Pax Thien, 5 ½, Zahara Marley, 4 ½, Shiloh Nouvel, 3, and twins Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline, 11 months, are being raised to think that humanitarianism is ”the normal thing to do.” She adds, “Hopefully I’ll take them to as many countries as I can and raise them with an education of the world.” The actress has already set this plan in motion, allowing Maddox to accompany her to refugee camp visits in Pakistan and Afghanistan. “I want them to see it as an area where they can go down the street and play football with those kids and get to know them and, as they grow up, see them as friends they spend time with,” she explains. “I hope if I raise them with a more accurate view of the world than I was raised with, then they will naturally be better people.”

'Spotlight to Nightlight': Hollywood Fatherhood The hottest role in Hollywood these days is "World's Greatest Dad," but not just any guy can fit the bill. From Brad Pitt to Will Smith to Hugh Jackman, celebrity dads are proving that you can change diapers, go on playdates, coach little league, and still have time to save the world ... on screen anyway! From piggy back rides to premieres, today's famous fathers are as likely to be seen on a playground as on a movie set. In this episode of "Spotlight to Nightlight," Ali Landry talks to Joey Lawrence about raising a family in Hollywood and trying to keep up with an energetic 3-year-old daughter. Ali's Take I believe that fathers play such an important role in our lives because for a woman, the role of a father is essential to the way she views males. The first example a little girl has of men comes from the relationship she shares with her dad. I think the greatest gift my father gave to me was the way he loved my mother. He is a man who is honest, kind, loving, and supportive and has always been there for our family. Now that I have my own family, I see so many of those same traits in my husband. What I love about my husband as a father is that he is a man of integrity who puts our family first. When he comes home in the afternoon, he goes straight to our daughter Estela and spends an hour or so just playing with her. I always knew he was going to be an amazing dad. He was blessed to have a father who was a great role model as well and we are all thankful for that. Being a father is a tough job. Joey Lawrence and I discussed the struggles and the joys of parenting, and he stressed the importance of being present in your kids' lives. Sometimes you work so hard (believe me, dads, we notice!) and take on so much, that days and weeks go by in the blink of an eye. Sometimes our kids drive us crazy, and sometimes they are pure joy and couldn't make us prouder. Here's to all the dads, grandfathers, uncles, stepdads, and older brothers out there! Happy Father's Day! http://omg.yahoo.com/blogs/goddess/spotlig...-fatherhood/242

Ali Landry Talks About Her Traveling Trio Life for Ali Landry and 23-month-old daughter Estela Ines is all about one thing these days: the potty! “Our main thing right now is trying to get the child on the potty,” Ali laughingly told CBB during a recent Giggles and Hugs event. In an effort to keep her daughter still as the two play the waiting game, the model and actress pulls out all the stops — mainly stickers and books — staying hopeful that Estela will relax and go to the bathroom. When she does step up to the plate and produce results, that’s when the fun begins. “Peepeeing on that potty, there’s a party in the house when that happens.” With Father’s Day right around the corner, Ali may soon be handing off the potty training to her mother. “I’m going do something for my husband,” she says of her plans for the big day. Looking forward to packing Alejandro Gomez Monteverde’s bags and surprising him with a trip for two to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Ali admits the irony of the situation. “I know, Father’s Day without a child, right?” she muses. “But, sometimes mom and dad need a little time alone.” “And we’re going to Italy for the summer and Estela is going to be staying with my mother in Louisiana. We travel a lot.” That said, Estela isn’t always left behind; The trio recently returned from a Bahamas vacation. Unfortunately, baby girl was less than thrilled with the beach scene. “At first she was really, really afraid,” Ali shares. Once her initial fears passed, there was no stopping the rambunctious toddler, who kept her mama constantly on her toes. “There’s no relaxing, and there is no laying down reading books, you’re chasing them absolutely everywhere,” she notes before recalling her former laid-back beach excursions. “Looking forward to those days again!” Up next for Estela? Her second birthday! Already planning for the big day, Ali reveals that the family will celebrate the milestone at the Silver Spoon beach house in Miami. “We’re excited about that,” she says.
