REGIO - Het van oorsprong Friese model Doutzen Kroes onthulde gisteren in Madame Tussauds in Amsterdam het wassen beeld naar haar gelijkenis. Het 23-jarige model heeft twee keer voor Tussauds geposeerd. Dat gebeurde een keer in een hotel in Amsterdam en een keer in de Tussauds Studio’s in Londen, waar het beeld gemaakt is. Het beeld is gekleed in een jurk die Doutzen zelf gedragen heeft bij de Marie Claire awards. De jurk is gedoneerd door de Italiaanse ontwerper Roberto Cavalli. Het beeld van Doutzen komt op een prominente plek in Madame Tussauds, op een catwalk voor het ronde raam. Bezoekers kunnen achter haar op de catwalk plaatsnemen om te ervaren wat het is om model te zijn. De wassen versie van de in Eastermar geboren Doutzen heeft gezelschap van beelden van bijvoorbeeld Robbie Williams, de Britse prins William, Ali B, Joop van den Ende en DJ Tiësto. De nu in New York wonende Friezin werd vier jaar geleden ontdekt nadat ze vakantiefoto's stuurde naar het Nederlandse modellenbureau Paparazzi. Al snel mocht ze campagnes en modeshows doen voor topmerken als Gucci, Valentino en Versace. Ze is het gezicht van L'Oréal en lingeriemerk Victoria's Secret. Daarnaast is zij sinds eind vorig jaar de ambassadeur van de campagne 'Praat mar Frysk'.

i hope we get to hear more about this tonight ... about how shes gonna look etc (i think the way she looked at the prix de la mode award...but i hope just like the vs show 2005 ) and i hope its a nice one..because some of them are looking riduculous

http://www.gap.com/ 1 new pic in the intro ----- yesterday on tv (probably klokhuis or jeugdjournaal and i think it was rtl4 6oclock news ) it was about young skinny models...they went to viva agency in paris and they showed a room with only numero covers ..... i immediately saw doutzens march tokyo numero cover because it looked the best ofcourse...and the men says: we not only have skinny models we also got doetzen kroes (just got a lil more curves and he didnt say it right ) .. and the camera zoomed in on doutzen numero cover ... .and they took a look in her book and i saw her nov. french elle photos and some black/white photos probably from 2005.
