I don't think they'll use the results to decide who to keep. I think it was mostly a novelty. I think it was a promotional thing sponsored by a car firm.

I don't think their poll worked either when I tried it because the first model in their list was 100% and all the rest were 0%. Or maybe they don't want people to see that no-one voted for whoever the cover model will be?

It probably helped Yamila land the covers of & be in billions of other magazines and be on talk shows, other TV shows, adverts - including ones on TV, calendars, books and probably helped her get lots more modelling work, and she was in every SI issue since, up to and including the 2007 one, and she's been on the SI cover twice. Thanks Matute and Samiot I hope she hasn't semi-retired though and she must be still working because she's in/will be in the new Newport News 2009 photos like those Matute has posted. I hope she will be in that other thing that comes out in February too

I think you're right. Doesn't look like a legit vid to me. Does that make this round valid? Although I don't really like Aerosmith's version of the song I'd have to give all my votes to them and Kim Smith anyway. Well, let's wait for other members to share their opinion, and batman (who nominated this Yamila video) for explanation If everyone would agree we shouldn't consider "Taking a picture" as a music vid, then I'll replace it with another one. I don't understand. Jimmy Buffett, is a musician, he released "Getting the Picture", which is is on http://www.vh1classic.com/ too (though that's for American only as I can't watch it there, but its on other music websites too), which is part of MTV (Music Television) networks, it's released by "Mailboat Records", he composed the song, sings and plays the guitar in the video (so it's not just like a photoshoot with a song in the background as he's in the video too playing his guitar and singing, and there's another model there too just for the music video not just part of the photoshoot. Though some of the bits with Yamila in the video are also part of the photoshoot (so are bits with some of the other models), she is filmed with his guitar in a part of the video and another couple of models sign it and another plays his guitar in the video) . I'll be happy with whatever categories are made. I just thought that as people were suggesting categories for the competition I'd suggest some too They were just suggestions and music/soundtrack is part of what makes a music video. But I don't mind if any or none of my suggestions are used cos they were just suggestions

Maybe you could have a nicest and/or best model category as one of the options too, and/or "best soundtrack/music" or best video, best visual effects, best editing?

Thanks for the pics everyone. Though when I try to load the last couple of pages, my pagefile goes to over 1GB and my PC grinds to a halt and I need to reboot.

She has disappeared from this year's SI and their website and videos . She's not been in any more films and there's lots less pictures with her than there used to be and I've not seen her on TV for ages
