And some pictures: I also just read that Samuel L. Jackson is filming on the set. His role is rumored to be Nick Fury and the size of his character's role is unkown.

I really like this cast. I think there is a consensus that X-Men and Spider-man are the only good movies made by Marvel (although I really enjoyed the recent Fantastic Four movie). Well, I think that this movie could join the club. Robert Downey Jr is a very talented actor (although he is older than most superhero actors). Iron Man is known to be an alcoholic. Downey has been to rehab for drugs or something so he should at least "get" the motivation. Gwenyth Paltrow's character is pretty much the basic love interest/secretary role so I don't think her casting is very crucial to this film. But she does have notoriety which is never bad (unless you hate her). Terrence Howard seems to be a good actor as he was nominated for the Oscar for Hustle and Flow. His character will also be of the supporting variety but he has a good role to work with. Jeff Bridges has great versatility and he is a villain (not THE villain). I don't think he has ever really been the villain before. Oh and he doesn't have hair anymore for this role.

IRON MAN May 2, 2008 Writers: Arthur Marcum, Matt Holloway, Mark Fergus, Hawk Ostby Director: Jon Favreau Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Terrence Howard, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jeff Bridges, Shaun Toub, Leslie Bibb, Bill Smitrovich, Nazanin Boniadi Summary: Based upon Marvel's iconic Super Hero, "Iron Man" tells the story of Tony Stark, a billionaire industrialist and genius inventor who is kidnapped and forced to build a devastating weapon. Instead, using his intelligence and ingenuity, Tony builds a high-tech suit of armor and escapes captivity. Upon his return to America, Tony must come to terms with his past. When he uncovers a nefarious plot with global implications, he dons his powerful armor and vows to protect the world as Iron Man.
  4. The story should be good because they have had plenty of time to get a script together. I mean I'm looking forward to this movie and I enjoyed Rocky Balboa too. But the only reason this movie exists is to make money. Yeah, all movies exist to make money, but sometime there is an artistic force behind the movie. (I'm optimistic this time). I just like the parallels here. T3 and Rocky Balboa only existed because the lead stars were getting older. They hadn't had success in a long time so they returned to a franchise that helped to define them as an actor. But seriously, I want another Ghostbusters. Make it happen.

From V for Vendetta Evey Hammond: My father was a writer. You would've liked him. He used to say that artists use lies to tell the truth, while politicians use them to cover the truth up.

  9. I just wasn't in the right mood today for some reason. Maybe I didn't get enough sleep. But I put these together. I think I'm going to stop for a while. You know, take a break. Focus on some other things. Have a life. Get a job maybe. Draw some stuff. Yeah, I think we've all been anxioulsy awaiting the "debut" of her web site. When I said focus on other things, I might be focusing on something....unofficial

I went to the game today. A little displeased that Scott Kazmir can't field his position. But we managed to eke out a win so I can't complain Well, Hyperion, it is NOT OUT OF THEIR SYSTEM!!! I know you're sad that your team lost, but you had to be happy for Luis Gonzalez at least. He is, after all, the hometown kid. NICE HOMECOMING FOR HIM!!! And guess what else? The Dodgers are back in FIRST PLACE!!! Well the hits weren't out of their system today either. However, there were no clutch hits to be had. Sorry. And I know my team has some bad relief pitching but if Dioner Navarro and his measly .168 batting average can hit a HR off of them, then I'd demote the pitcher to the minors. So Sunday is the rubber match. But I have no doubt the Dodgers are the better team. But two out of three wouldn't be bad in my mind.
  13. Thanks Banjo. Very nice. Borat style
  14. Join the club. Pull up a chair. The more, the merrier. See you around.
  15. Sylvester Stallone is good for blowing things up and punching people. Don't expect him to win any awards. Oh he won an award for Rocky? Yeah, that's right. I was very pleased with the last Rocky as well. BTW, he has written 22 screenplays. 22!!! That's pretty good for someone who gets type-caste as being a mumbling idiot. How bout another Family Guy reference? There was this episode and Tony danza and Stallone were in a sitcom called "What?" because no one can understand what they say. I get his appeal, but his appeal might be limited to the Van Damme, Segal, Willis, Schwarzenegger crowd. But then again I never got into Stephen Segal. I mean all those action movies are the same, but I never liked the guy. I also don't really like Jet Li.
  16. I remember posting something to that effect. The looking like a horse part reminds me of a Family Guy episode where they had Penelope Cruz on the red carpet and someone fed her a carrot. When did it become cool to not like Adriana anymore? Who should I add to my list? Adam Sandler. He was funny back in the nineties. I haven't seen anything that he's been in in the past decade that's been any good. The premise for Chuck and Larry sounds good but I'm sure I'll be disappointed somehow. And how am I supposed to believe that Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel would ever be attracted to him? While I'm at it, I've never cared for David Spade either. I always had to put up with him because he was in the Chris Farley movies.
  17. Lauren Graham? Nah. alexis bledel (co-star from Gilmore Girls)
