@Stormbringer This is Tate the Turtle - He was given to me by someone who found him dying on the side of the road. He/She is doing wonderfully now! Super healthy and happy. This is Boujee.. He's been named such because he costs a lot, and he's super picky so I've had to go out of my way to buy him only the very best food on the market. He's basically considered a "show" Cumberland turtle because of how beautiful his markings are. A scuffed picture of the two of them hanging out.

Cosplayer Mods Nerf Gun With Holographic Spell Caster Note: Keep your volume in check. This is a video demonstration of a Nerf gun modified by a Japanese cosplayer to cast some custom holographic spells in the air. Obviously they're not REAL holograms, they're images created by one of those quickly spinning LED wands that tricks your eyes into seeing things thanks to humans' persistence of vision. Some more info while I close my eyes for a few and pretend I'm on a beach somewhere, hopefully in your arms: The holographic images are created using an effect called persistence of vision, where the human eye holds onto images for a split second longer than light rays are actually hitting the retina. It's what allows us to interpret the images flashing across the pixels on a screen as moving video, instead of just a slideshow. That's just like my eyes -- always playing tricks on me. Alllllll the turtle things. Aquatic plants, driftwood, UVB/UVA lights, heat lamps for both day and evening, slate rocks, substrate, titanium heaters, a million types of food, places for them to bask and hide, tools to keep their tank clean. Getting turtles set up initially is rather expensive, but well worth it because they are awesome!
