Here's a picture of her on the cover of her latest book that I posted in Teresa Lourenco's thread over at WFT a couple of months ago.

Since the first pictures of the VS show came out, I've been trying to figure out for the life of me what was bugging me about this girl. After looking at the Emmy pictures that Lullaby posted, it came to me what it was about her that's keeping me from liking her -- her neck is short. The purple get-up that VS put her in did her no favors either. I think it's that short neck that's keeping me from seeing a model when I look at her.

No, I don't think so. Gisele opening the show fit in with the theme. They had a santa theme and featured the diamond bra, so it made sense IMO for Gisele to open the show. Besides, Adriana opened the show last year. I can't recall them ever having a model open the show two years in a row. If anything, I would say that Alessandra should have been given an opportunity to open the show this year over Adriana (and I don't even like Ale), but again, Gisele opening the show made sense with the theme. Not really. Maybe on the internet she is better known, but when it comes to the mainstream American media and press, Gisele is more popular. When they hear Victoria's Secret, Gisele, Tyra, and Heidi are the names that come to mind. The three of them are the best spokespeople for the company, so that's who they used. With Tyra's retirement, it's a prime opportunity for the company to push Adriana in more of a spokeperson position.

I don't see how this girl won. Her Cover Girl commercials are painful to look at or listen to. She's not that good of a model either - none of the girls from her season were.

You haven't done anything. My sensitivity chip is on vacation. I suppose I should do something about that. I will... eventually. I watched "The Follow" online this morning. I hadn't watched it in a long time, so I forgot how compelling the plot was and how believeable Adriana was in her role.

You are reading his statement incorrectly. You're using the word "forget" and he used the word "forgot." I'm tempted to post a detailed English lesson about the two words, but I'll refrain since I know no one wants to read it. He didn't say "forget about them" as in "forget about black people." I want to reply to something I read in an Adriana thread, so I'm doing it in the place it belongs. I believe the lack of Tyra's appearances in the catalog have more to do with her desire to explore other areas than VS kicking her to the curb. Tyra announced her intentions to quit modeling a while ago ( Tyra Announces Plans To Retire Her Cleavage ), and she's always said that Victoria's Secret is one of the main companies to stick by her when she did gain weight. She's doing so many things and has her hands in so many pots that it's not surprising that she doesn't do as many photoshoots for them as she used to.

I only have 8 Adriana videos, and I'll probably delete those in a couple of days since I rarely ever look at them. I'm not a video collector.

I'm not too sure Adriana's absolutely positive of what color her eyes are herself. I remember reading an interview that Thiago posted at chilax, she asked her mother what color her eyes were and she said blue. I'm guessing she has chameleon eyes. I have an ex-boyfriend whose eyes changed color from hazel to gray and back all the time, and colored contacts weren't the reason for it.

I have 1008 VS catalog pictures on my computer - all in the official VS "large" format and nametag. Those are the only ones I'll save. Total Adriana pictures - 2915. I expected it to be less than that though.

When people get on their "has she or hasn't she" kicks involving Adriana and plastic surgery, I wish they would use pictures that are NOT Victoria's Secret. VS edits and airbrushes their pictures.The people should also use pictures where the angles are similar. It's more representative. If you compare a picture of me with my head up and mouth open and one with the mouth closed it's going to look different. One would think that would be obvious but apparently not.

I appreciate them. Thank you for posting them. I actually prefer pictures smaller in size. I don't have very many large pictures in my collection. Whenever I save a HQ picture, I always shrink it down to the dimensions that I like the best. The size of the VS pictures is actually perfect. I won't save a VS picture unless it's that particular size and has the original numerical tag that they put on there. I remember your stance on HQ versus non-HQ pictures and why you mix it up, so I can see why you'd find the HQ part of my post funny. But I digress. Topic? Candids? This is actually my favorite picture from the Swim Secrets book promotion they had.

I've started liking Veronika a little more as of late. She's no Aria in my book, but she's very beautiful. She's growing on me.

I don't care much for the "blowing kisses" thing that she does. Once or twice, it's cute, but she does it all of the time and sometimes, IMO, it can look a little corny (and not in a good way). Thanks for the pictures Lullaby.
