My favourite lyrics (that I can think of now) are: 1. The Killers - All These Things That I've Done "I've got soul but I'm not a soldier." 2.Joy Division - Shadowplay "In the shadowplay, acting out your own death, knowing no more."

For each round we will face two different versions of the same song. But it doesn't have to be the original vs a cover version. It can be 2 different covers, none being the original; or it can be an early career version vs a late career version by the same artist... or the studio recording vs a live performance... or two different live performances... you name it! It's all valid as long as it is the same song. Same as in "The Cover Or The Original", the next participant will choose which version they prefer …

As the title says, lets post song that sound similar to some other. I'm not necessarily talking about plagiarism here, though it might be in some cases. But songs that at least coincidentally share some similarities in melody, harmony or such with some other work. I'll start with this song from Rival Sons' first album: Pocketful of Stones This band owes a lot of it's sound to Led Zeppelin, but that song in particular sounds a lot like these 2: Houses of the Holy And Dancing Days

Material Girl The next person needs to think of another song title that starts with last word of the last song Ex. Girl Just Wanna Have Fun And the next person does the same thing and so on... Ex. Fun in the Sun *It is ok if a song begins with "a/an" or "the". Ex. If the word is "Wild," either "The Wild Life" by Slaughter or "Wild Boys" by Duran Duran would work. * Try to include the artist whenever possible Ok, let's begin... We have a thread for guitarists, bassists and singers... But we were lacking one for the rhythmic base! Those who keep the rhythm and the tempo, the backbone of any Rock, Pop, Funk, Soul, Blues, Jazz, etc band you can think of. We were missing on the drummers! Not anymore! It's time to give recognition to those who create magic with the rhythm behind the drum set (and sometimes other percussions)! So I invite to post your favorite drummers here! I'll start with one from my own country and without a doubt one of the best drummers EVER: Mr. Gabriel Parra from Los Jaivas Same so…

Equivalent to the Guitar Masters thread but this time with singers. Those whose voices amaze you. Be it for their incredible range, on point technique, or maybe because of a beautiful timbre or sheer expressiveness. I'll start with probably the most obvious choice: Freddie Mercury This is amazing: isolated vocals track of The Show Must Go On Incredible and so powerful performance, even more considering he was practically dying by then...
