I have some sort of sick infatuation with muffins and I barely ever eat them. I know, I know..weird.

going back to that wooden descussion' date=' i really dont like to compare between those days and now, because back then not only would wooden get the best players every year, but they would all stay for four years, and now, even if you do recruit the best players, they're usually gone after just one or two years[/quote']

Thanks for underlining my point, safin. Another reason why Wooden's records will probably stand for another 30 years or so. And Cain, you should know that u can't GUARANTEE anything!!! Look at the 2 major upsets last night!!!  Bet u didn't that coming, huh?!

What point was underlined!? You've made no point and you've been blowing alotta smoke out your ass K-Dub. Your initial argument is about Wooden being the best coast, and yet your agreeing with Safin?

You tripping out now, dawg!!! I didn't change my initial argument, I was just acknowledging that Safin has a point. I acknowleded that you had a point earlier in this thread, remember?! You can diss Wooden all you want. Still to this day, when experts think of the greatest college basketball coaches, his name still comes up. Would Wooden be able to accomplish the same numbers if he coached in this day and age?! Probably not, but we will never know, right? Its like asking if who would win if Joe Louis and Muhammad Ali met in their prime. Most would say Ali, but then again, we will never know.

This discussion can go on and on, so I'll offer you a olive branch and call a truce. Frankly, I sick of talkin', and you're sick of me talkin', so let's just end it and focus on the present.

Sounds like lots of smoke and back tracking to me. Wooden was an excellent recruiter with a mediocre approach to basket. He put some basic idea's up that any moronic coach could figure out, drive n kick, how much of a genius do you have to be to figure that out? Anybody would have been called a good coach back then with those kind of players and with that kind of time to develop them.

Alright fine.

Oklahoma doesn't look too good right now. That'll just make it easier for the MSU Kentucky matchup

i wouldnt go as far as comparing wooden to any moronic coach, sure he had a distinct advantage, but that doenst take away that he was a very good coach

Alright fine.

they're hanging with them, but still down by double digets, i dont see an upset here

How bout Utah? They are leading Oklahoma at the half.

i dont think oklahoma is all that good, so it wont be a huge upset, but it is still suprising oklahoma is looking so bad

yea, I got them losing to Kentucky next round anyway, so no big loss. But sticking with the theme of the tourney, I think they will pull away in the second half. Unless they pull a Kansas, stupid Bucknell f'ed up my bracket and a potentional UNC vs Kansas.

yup, i had the exact same matchup........damn bucknell <_<
