October 21, 200816 yr Yes, Carmelita, some of your HQ scans are really super clear and very detailed. Great workladyship. Greta's earliest work while still in Europe I think were her most elegant and artistic. The silent movies depended so much on expression and exaggeration and the subtlest of movement to convey ideas and meanings. That is why Chaplin is the greatest actor of all time. Pantomime- what a lost and beautiful art. Anyway, Garbo should have stayed in Europe. She would have been something more than a goddess. Ingmar Bergman understood in later decades. Thanks, "Mel", for the memories invoked and a wonderful look back at her pure beauty and innocence. Her life while glamorous was tragic. No one stopped to really say hello to her and ask her what she thought, no man ever befriended her, no man was ever in love with her. None thought to see she never really stood upon a pedestal but Garbo actually knelt to catch her tears.
