Van Nistelrooy wants Madrid move

Hamburg striker Ruud van Nistelrooy has reportedly demanded a move back to Real Madrid.

The Spanish giants are shopping for a new striker as a replacement for the injured Gonzalo Higuain.

Jose Mourinho is believed to be keen in bringing the Dutch hitman back to the Santiago Bernabeu on a six-month deal.

But according to German magazine Kicker, Hamburg's unwillingness to let him go has infuriated the 34-year-old.

The report claims that Van Nistelrooy stormed out of the team hotel and said, "If you don't let me go back to Madrid, I'll never turn out for Hamburg again."

However, the club spokesman Joern Wolf pulled a blanket over the incident and insists the Dutch striker will feature in Saturday's game against Schalke.

"Van Nistelrooy is in the team hotel. Coach Armin Veh will also put him in the team for the game in Gelsenkirchen [against Schalke]," he revealed.

Van Nistelrooy's contract with the Bundesliga club expires in six months and could go cheap if Madrid decide to sign him up permanently.

n his press conference after the session, Mou talked about several things. He was asked about the possibility of Ruud van Nistelrooy coming over in the winter transfer market, of which he said, “if he comes, I’ll be happy, but we’ll see what happens. I know him well as a player and a person.” By the way, Raúl and RvN were spotted chatting after playing each other yesterday in the Bundesliga. Apparently, the conversation went like this. RvN asked Raúl what he should do, and Raúl replied, “return!

"Van Nistelrooy set for Madrid return"

Hamburg striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy is set to join Real Madrid after all, according to Real Madrid TV presenter Andy May.

The 34-year-old has been continuously linked with a move back to the Santiago Bernabeu as coach Jose Mourinho seeks cover for the injured Gonzalo Higuain.

The move appeared to have stalled after a reported rift between the Madrid coach and general manager Jorge Valdano over transfer matters, which led to claims that Mourinho is planning a walk-out on the club halfway through the season.

Now it appears the club have moved to appease the Special One as May hinted on an imminent move for the Dutch striker.

"It's still not official but it looks like RVN is returning to Real Madrid. Keep an eye on realmadrid.com for the announcement," said Real Madrid TV presenterMay on his twitter page andymaytvradio.

Earlier on Friday, Spanish daily Marca reported that Madrid have already tabled a €2 million bid to Hamburg, who have yet to respond.
