Headhuntaz
I haven't seen it posted in German, so I'll put that up too: "einen guten Rutsch! (ins Neujahr)" or "Frohes Neujahr!" You can also say: "Frohes neues Jahr" or "Ich wuensche/Wir wuenschen einen guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr" We either use new (neu) as adjective to describe the year (a new one ) or we use "Neujahr" as subject, would be like Christmas Eve, I guess. You don't use Eve as an abbreviation in general. You can also say "Prost Neujahr" or "Prosit Neujahr" that would be like "cheers" I guess. when you're in Munich and you wanna feel like a citizen, only use: "A guads neis!" (spoken: Uh Goo-ads Nice)
