Karen Collins was born in Michigan, and studied French literature at the University of Aix en Provence in South of France. She gravitated into fashion photography after moving to New York in the early 2000’s. Her collaboration with Ungaro, Paul & Joe, Numero, Pop Magazine and The Face were pivotal moments in her early career.

Her numerous international editorial and advertising clients include Numero, Bergdorf Goodman, Clinique, Chaumet and Sephora, among others.

Her first short film, “603” a collaboration with Bruno Magli, was presented during 2012 Venice Film Festival. Currently she is working a book called Panty Project, which focuses on girls in underwear in the homes of people they don’t know.
