July 1, 201311 yr love it, but would expect no less than her being on the 25th anniversary issue! she now has over 30 VI covers? beyond iconic. now thats a supermodel. I can't stop scratching my head at models who get called supermodel today with not even one Vogue cover...

July 1, 201311 yr It's bizarre that a Vogue Italia anniversary special doesn't include Kristen McMenamy. Or for that matter Amber Valletta and Karen Elson. All 3 of them have been on more Vogue Italia covers than any of this month's covergirls (with the exception of Linda). I actually like Raquel Zimmerman's cover the best. I don't find her pretty at all, but they made her look good for this cover.
July 2, 201311 yr ^It looked like they were trying utilize a model from each generation during Franca Sozzani's leadership. I actually like Stella's cover a lot, too, even though it's so dark and goes against the celebratory theme that one thinks of when thinking about a "25th Anniversary". But from what I'm reading from other sites online, I think the fans generally would have preferred Kristen or someone else that was prominent from that era. From what I can tell, VI used only Italian designers (appropriate for Sozzani's 'Italian' Vogue anniversary), and I really enjoyed Gisele's Dolce & Gabbana-ish cover a lot. And speaking of celebratory, I thought Linda's cover reflected that (my presumed) theme the most out of all the covers. All that was missing was a bottle of Prosecco.
