What's with all the large, duplicate (sometimes, 4 per page), and interstitial ads? I can certainly appreciate Bellazon wanting/needing to generate revenue to keep the site/forum going, but the ads I've been seeing over the past few days are really off-putting; some are borderline pornographic.

Edit: I'm including some examples.

We had enabled "auto ads" by google, but apparently google is going a bit crazy with them :D

We have disabled them for now and will manually place them where they are less intrusive.

Bring back images for each page link in the list on forum directory (e.g. https://www.bellazon.com/main/forum/46-female-fashion-models) please, so we know who they are (if the name is unfamiliar)

We are working on updating it. We had to get the forum performance in check before we work on it. Probably in the next few days if the board continues to be stable.

Just reporting another issue, even if  probably you're already aware: the "add link" button is not available anymore in the mobile version of the post/comment editor.

The old interface had an obvious way to browse models by name, and search by just the first letter or few letters of the name. I don't how to do this now. Is that ability being abandoned? (Sorry if the answer has been posted already. I didn't find it.)

I think if you just copy and paste a link and hit enter it automatically will post the link, does it not?

I see how to browse all models; it's easy (doh!). But in the old interface you could search by the first letter or the first few and browse the models whose names start with those letters. It's convenient for some purposes. I will fiddle with the current search function to see if I can do something similar.

@Matt! @TheDude2k and anyone else who wants to chime in.

Now that AI tools have evolved significantly since 2023, I can finally tackle this project without needing to spend $10k+ on designers. I want to revisit the idea of redesigning Bellazon from the ground up.

I know many of you are accustomed to the current format, walls of text, navigating multiple pages until you reach your favorite model's thread and finally see images. But when I show the site to friends, the reaction is consistently: "WTF is this? It's just text. I can't find anything."

I want to redesign the site to be images-first. However, I'm hesitant to just create another Instagram/TikTok clone. We need to find the right balance, prominently showcasing images while still encouraging meaningful comments and participation.

I Need Your Input

  - What sites do you think strike this balance well?

  - Any features or design patterns you'd like to see implemented?

  - How do we modernize without losing what makes this community special?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

I would like a likes or thank you system. Nothing negative, but we could like a post to let the poster know we appreciate their constant work. I've spent a lot of time posting on here so a system like this would help me know the constant work i do is appreciated. 🙂

I'll think about other stuff that could be nice to implement. 😁

Thanks for tagging me! happy

I did a quick peer analysis and visited some relevant forums like The Fashion Spot, Model Mayhem, The Fashion Spot etc. One thing they all had in common was that the homepage was separated from the forum. I'm not a designer-oriented, so it’s difficult for me to come up with original ideas right now, but I can give solid feedback when there’s something to comment on.

I had ChatGPT analyze the current forum structure (using your desired redesign direction) and came up with these concepts.

I’d also like to see some sort of like/thank-you system.

@Sunshiine I really appreciate your posts, but it would get real weird real quick if I thanked you after every single one ninjaheart

HAHA indeed, it would also spam the forum with thank you posts, so likes system might be easier 😊

maybe a maximum number of pictures in a post? sometimes there's like 200 images per post and that's a long way to scroll especially on mobile.

I don't know if that's doable, but like a way for the system to know if the pictures have been posted already, like an image recognition software. Cause even with search, if someone quoted it, you will not see it in search. Also sometimes people posts pictures without even a caption, so it will not show up in search. I don't know some better way to avoid reposts. If the image is in better quality though that's fine. I don't know, something like that 😝 I always check sometimes 10 pages but that's time consuming and not everyone does it.
