i remember i had a spur number from early or mid 90s with a report about japanese models internationally with so many names that now i regret not scanning because its hard to find it even included some of their european covers and edits previews with infos.

Yeah, I know what you mean!! If only we knew to very carefully save every article or blurb. Well, hopefully it comes up again as I will be focusing mostly on purchasing Japanese and Australian magazines in the future (as I have pretty good access buying from Japan and shipped by boat to Los Angeles.) I feel like everyone else has the European mags covered. .. the Japan mags are SUPER good about naming the models.

i recently started hunting australian magz as well mainly from 1998-2000 so far i managed to get many rare numbers of marie claire, bazaar, oyster and few random vogue numbers. i was surprised how good they were! i expected them to have mostly reprints but mostly original content. hope i can scan some of them soon

found it after a lot of digging, models names are written in both english and japanese.

O.M.G. 🤩  THANK YOU FOR DOING THE DIGGING & SHARING THIS!! I've been working on Tokyo (+ Singapore) runway models for a couple days now!!! I've dug up about 20 IDs so far!!!!! (all from earlier times 1979-1986) I found a modeling agency in Japan with "classic" models too that I think is another bonanza for IDs! This is gonna be awesome!!!!
