i posted 9 years of Armani (1991-1999) shows in Archive. You could search there first... Even your name is there !

I was just sharing some scans from a few rare vintage fashion mags I have, which seem to have been greatly appreciated by others before. The Armani chapters I have were finished by the way, or about to be, they were not that many, just a handful of pages from few seasons. Didn't know a few scans could trigger feelings or that I had to go full-on "research-rat" mode before posting anything here. I just thought I'd post them here since these mags are hard to find, and someone might appreciate them without thinking too much of it, since I don't have that type of time on my hands. And that perhaps the chance of sharing something new, which I did, would outweigh the chance of a few repetitions here and there, especially in pages with multiple models. Scanning and sharing mags is already time consuming enough, i will refrain from posting anything else I have in these "model ID" threads from now on.

Thank you so much for your time and effort, we really appreciate it heart Your scans are fantastic and we enjoy seeing them blush
Please don't let everything people say get to you. For instance, one user once insisted I should stop posting runway pictures, since they held no value for him personally whistle
@tarsier41 thank you for your posts and all your effort as well. But if you don't have the time or the will to help with IDs, that's totally fine. Models can stay unidentified, and no one will die because of it.

Everything you're posting is very interesting, and I'm grateful for your truly remarkable effort. thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif

I don't have time to read all the comments on your posts, but true vintage fashion enthusiasts can only be grateful. yes.gif

Our friend @tarsier41 works hard and has made FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY ARCHIVE a magnificent thread. There are only a few of us here, but I think we are working very hard, hopefully always in harmony among us. hug.gif

laugh.png Sometimes you read crazy comments around, there are people who have no sense of history, they don't understand that the past must be preserved. Unfortunately, in fashion we only live in the present.

Well you know, sharing stuff found online can be great, but doing that and actually scanning rare magazines are not the same thing, some people don't seem to know how time consuming the latter can be. So if I have to go through all that trouble just for my effort to be sh💩ted on just because "that model on the left corner of your scan over there is already in that thread over there", then I might as well keep all my stuff to myself, call it a day and spend my time doing something else. 🤷‍♂️

I totally understand what you're talking about. To be honest, everything is time-consuming. Sometimes searching for new stuff also takes a lot of time, and IDing models for the first time / if you don't know them very well takes a lot of time, but scanning is the hardest part of all, since it's not only time-consuming, but also expensive. I'm sure tarsier wasn't aware that it was us who asked you to scan and post your unknown models in the ID topics. Anyway, I think that comment was extremely rude. It's not reasonable to expect every single member who wants to post anything on this forum to go through all the ID topics first - no one would ever post anything in that case.

your scans catched my eye because the way you scan the magazine pages is quality scan and the magazines you scan are super rare hard to find! so don't let some comment ruin your hard work or effort. your work is highly appreciated 💐

and of course everyone can ask for IDs. even if the model was id one page before ;)

Yeah, don't worry. Funny thing is that in all honesty, when it comes to it, I couldn't truly give two flying FKS about the names of models who did a handful of shows 30 years ago, with all due respect to who does, but I am more into bigger names supermodels, and into fashion brands. No shade to anyone, just different interests. It's still good that they get IDed for anyone else who cares. The reason why I started scanning these pages is because I figured I had a good amount of rare vintage catwalk mags, and in another thread I asked if anyone would be interested in me scanning them. The answer was yes, so I started doing that out of my own willingness to sharing something pretty hard to find these days. Only to come here and be attacked for not memorising some random mFKN names I don't care about, by someone who should take some chill pills ASAP. You can't make this shit up! 😅 But anyway, no worries, I'll keep sharing when I'll get the time. It's all good.

Ladies and gentlemen: The discussion ends here.

We hereby conclude the discussion. I kindly ask that you maintain an attitude of respect, cooperation, and good conduct among all at all times.
