You can't see the forest for the trees. :banghead:

Who cares if some random trolls on the internet complained about a comic? There are lots of morons on the planet, they have zero influence.

Journalists, teachers and professors have influence.

This teacher (like many others) explains factually that at school, teachers are told "the basic tactics are to assume racism is everywhere every day" (it's a quote, check it for yourself - at 7:45). This is fuel for hatred. Why is it so hard to understand? Why is it so difficult to criticize something that comes from the woke movement? The inability to criticize a movement is the mark that society is on a totalitarian drift. :/

I am not talking about randos on the internet but actual school boards voting to ban those things...

If school board ban a theory that says "the basic tactics are to assume racism is everywhere every day", it's great.

This is fuel for hatred. Bullying small children and telling them that their skin color is a problem is fuel for disaster. CRT is promoting segregation.

Look at facts. In details.

Look at the Grievance study affair, Jon Haidt's work on American universities, what happened to Bret Weinstein at Evergreen, etc.

CRT, wokism and all these theories are molded from hatred. Did the world get more peaceful since their spreading? No. Quite the opposite.

Look at the discussions here, we used to be more peaceful and friendly before the Woke sect spread its fuel for hatred.

So you think Maus and Norman Rockwell's The Problem We All Live With are worthy of being banned?

No. Stop putting words in my mouth. I have never said that.

These sophisms are extremely cheap.  Read what I write, don't invent things.

When people realize that the woke nonsense can't be rationally defended, they invent straw man arguments... :banghead:

I am talking about concrete, real-life consequences of anti-CRT campaigns. You only seem interested in discussing this in abstract terms.

What exactly is woke about teaching kids about the Holocaust or Ruby Bridges? So these things should be omitted from the curriculum?

If you want to defend your theories, be more thoughtful, more factual, more peaceful, less "ad personam" attacks.

You used to be smarter before you went on a path to defend woke theories.

Read what I wrote. This is not about the Holocaust or Ruby bridges.

This is about "assuming everything is racist" and asking for kids to apologize for their skin color.

No, you are not. You are inventing things I never said. What I wrote is very concrete if you actually read it...

You will not address my points. The two examples I gave were banned because of anti-CRT movements in those school boards. They are literally examples tied pushback against CRT!

You will not address my points either.

I put the subject on the table first, yet you deflect and bring points I didn't bring.

What is more concrete than talking about things that were actually banned at schools because they were perceived as CRT?

Like I said before, you only seem interested in talking about this in broad abstract terms and not in terms of the micro, real-life consequences. Which I find much more important in this entire debate.

You are the one who started talking about CRT. I gave examples of stuff that were banned because they were thought to be CRT. I don't know what more to tell you.

Teaching about the Holocaust is extremely important.

If you actually read history books about nazism, you'll see the proximities between Woke tactics and their propaganda.

In books about Goebbels and Gramsci, you'll find very interesting themes. Nazis and communist propaganda are extremely similar. The tactics is to bring fuel for division and call anyone that wants to bring nuance an extremist.

Woke ideology is bad news for the world. History has shown this multiple times.

I gave many examples. Have you listened to the teacher that thoroughly explains what happens in her school with CRT?

This is very concrete

We have never been as divided as we are since these woke ideologies spread everywhere (circa 2018).

So, is it really worth it? What do they bring except hatred and the end of nuanced debates?
