A portrait of an ambitious and intelligent young man (with leadership qualities) that perishes and fails due to his youth: arrogance, morality, and inexperience. His triple victories are won due to his unpredictability- being young and not fixed or seemingly logical in his decisions. His young love, foolishly pursued, is the end of him and the Starks. He has a close relationship with his mother, who gives him a mixture of good and terrible advice. His story is sad because he has the potential of becoming a great leader and he makes many good decisions, but he ultimately fails because he is too idealistic. He tries to become more ruthless and brutal than his father but does so in a stupid way, and this costs him. January 23, 20178 yr Author Another true to life character- how often have we met people such as this? Margeary- one of the most likable characters as she's not a murderer or has low morals. She's a brave woman that is self-confident of her abilities and not without reason. She never throws anyone under the bus. Her most powerful trait is her high social intelligence and speaking skills. She aims to become queen by sheer charm and making friends with her opponents. Unlike Robb, she has the best mentor- the "queen of thorns" that she frequently consults with. Her tragedy is her commitment to play by the rules, which blinds her to opponents on her side. She completely fails to win over Cersei and underestimates her brutality. This proves to be her undoing. Margeary played the game without knowing that it was a "race to the bottom".
