1. There is no evidence that Trump/Vance etc. even understand why Russia/Putin are fighting this war. When Putin talked with Tucker he spend much of the time talking about the 'historical' reasons why Russia is invading Ukraine.

2. IF they don't even understand why Russia is invading Ukraine do they think that doing a 'rare earths' fraud deal, from a man who is a serial liar/fraudster is going to end the war?

3. Putin appears to be enjoying himself and dragging this out, probably seeing what can be salvaged from it. I have not seen any evidence that Russia wants the war to end.

Putin/Russians have already revealed a few reasons why they want to fight this war:

1. National Security/NATO encroachment, turning Ukraine in a US military base with ICBMs pointed at Moscow. It is considered an existential threat to the Russian state.

2. Weakening the influence of US/Western civilization in preparation for the 'multi-polar' world great global re-alignment. Literally this is all that Putin talked about in BRICS and global south conferences in 2022.

3. What is noticeable about Russian soldiers in Ukraine is that many are wearing Christian orthodox symbols. Part of the Ukraine war is a religious/culture war, to eliminate or weaken western influences (capitalist and cultural) in Russia. Putin is keen to honor orthodox Christianity, and he just did so in the Alaska cemeteries.

4. Political/patriotic reasons- strengthening Russia by absorbing Ukraine, or at least the minimalist portion of it.

5. Putin appears to be using the war as a tool to change and re-invent Russia.
   

What is remarkable is western politicians, including Trump do not engage these obvious and not even secret points- why? If they are not engaged in serious discussion the Russians will not be convinced to stop.

It's being reported that:

1. Putin indeed wants Ukraine to retreat from the 'fortress belt'. Also the frontline is to be frozen in the south (Z and K Oblasts) despite Russia not occupying the entire thing.

2. Putin wants to recognize the new borders as part of Russia by the US.

3. Zelensky is likely to be the next meeting.

Overall this is 1. bare minimalist conditions for Putin to declare victory in the war to his domestic audience by getting Ukraine to retreat from the most heavily fortified region in Ukraine outside of Odessa. 2. If Zelensky's gov't agrees to this it is tantamount to announcing that they lost the war. Zelensky might even get assassinated down the line.

3. Frankly this sounds like a super fragile deal if it goes through. IF the next US administration is Democrat they could easily discard the deal. Also Russia could invade again later.

Trump was a client and close friend of Epstein (he even owns one of Epstein's planes), so obviously he would not want to release the list.

I don't know what happened, but that's a big mistake. Many of his followers are gonna hate him for that. He didn't promise explicitely to release the files, but at least he promised it implicitely. He was supposed to drain the swamp, but he's protecting it...

I don't know to whom Epstein was linked, but I'm sure there's some serious shit behind it. Possibly links to intelligence, who knows... By not releasing the files, he's fueling the theory that there's some really serious shit going on with many famous people connected.
