"The foul that resulted in the sending off was the least severe of them all"

He doens't like missing any matches, and that's why Fabio Cannavaro is mad. Because the Italian was sent off at the Vicente Calderón, he will be forced to watch next week's match against Getafe from the stands. The centre back thinks the effort put out against Bayern Munich in Champions League play is to blame, but he also thinks his fellow Italian, Antonio Cassano vindicated himself.

"The foul that resulted in the sending off was the least severe of them all. Atleti had an easier time getting to our box during the first twenty minutes and they were in better form. We had a Champions League match on Tuesday, and you could tell. But all that matters is that we reacted well and drew a very tough match. I like to play always, and I am not happy about not being able to participate in the Getafe match next Sunday."

"We played a bad first half, but we had to clear scoring chances. Cassano is very enthusiastic, and he should stay that way."
