This week, we turn our attention to Cayley King. There is no substitute for the real deal and this gorgeous bombshell – whose American, girl-next-door appeal has gained fans across the industry – is certainly it. The 19-year-old has all the components necessary to be a supermodel: a strikingly beautiful face that easily straddles the line between commercial and editorial, a bubbly personality built for social-media stardom and a killer runway walk. King has spent time with some of fashion's leading editors and photographers including Mario Sorrenti, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, and Craig McDean who rave about her editorial potential. "Cayley is a firecracker, her personality is major and let's not forget to mention her delicate, doll-like features," says Levi Asher at IMG. "She's one of those girls who captivates you just by walking in the room, a true supermodel in the making!" We chat to King about her father's help in launching her modelling career, walking for Versace and boxing. How were you discovered? "My Dad submitted pictures online to my mother agent's website, they asked to meet me and then I signed with them." If you weren't modelling, which career would you pursue and why? "I'm not sure right now, but I'd like to maybe try photography or acting." What would you say has been the highlight of your career so far? "Walking exclusively for Versace in Milan, that was a dream come true." How do you spend your free time? "I hang out with friends, go for a run, take my dog to the park or read a book." Do you have any travel tips for those visiting your home town? "If you were to ever find yourself in Indianapolis, Indiana, stop by Mrs Curl Ice Cream Shop and get the Chocolate Crunch Cone." What are the three products you can't live without? "Mario Badescu Rosewater Facial Spray, Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara in Noir and Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer in Pretty Thing." What is your favourite form of exercise? "I love running, doing hot yoga and boxing. Everyone should definitely try boxing at least once, it's such a great work-out." What is your dream shoot? "I'd love to shoot with Bruce Weber, he creates such beautiful imagery in such serene settings." Name your three essential items you wouldn't leave the house without? "Phone, keys and my wallet." If you had to wear only one designer, who would it be? "Versace." What kind of advice would you give to new girls to the industry? "Never change for anyone." Is there a model's career that you admire? "Rosie Huntington-Whiteley." What is your life motto? "Treat others the way you'd want to be treated." Let's talk about favourites. What about… …music?
