House of Style Hosts Joan Smalls and Karlie Kloss Are Super Excited For You To Watch!

OH MAN, how glad am I that I can finally talk freely about our new House of Style hosts, Karlie Kloss and Joan Smalls! *Oprah gifting entire houses to her audience vooooooice* We’ve been sitting on this secret for WEEKS now and it feel fantastic that we are commemorating the occasion with the ladies’ first time at the 2012 Video Music Awards. It’s funny ’cause we’ve spent all day getting ready with them and I honestly never thought 8-feet tall, drop-dead gorgeous genetic anomalies could be cute but man, these girls are adorable. Also, funny. They just can’t stop snapping on each other.

See the reason why we chose Joan and Karlie for our show that’s airing right here on style.mtv.com on October 9th is because we love how they work together since they’re genuinely friends. Not like frenemies but IRL friends who hang out and text each other a bazillion times a day and consult each other on crucial decisions like what dress to wear to the VMAs (white bodycon Kimberly Ovitz with for Karlie; Balmain quilted leather dress for Joan). It’s basically Courtney Cox and Jennifer Aniston from except, you know, like a metaphor that’s more current because babies don’t watch Friends. Anyway, their enthusiasm is frickin’ unbridled and they’re so stoked and a little nervous to be part of the new House of Style vanguard.

To be honest, we’re a little jittery too but we’ve been scheming and plotting and the plans we’ve hatched for you guys are pretty special and we can’t wait to bless your brains with all the goodness. As you know, KK and Joan chatted with Sway on our red carpet after the big announcement but they also wanted to tape a little video especially for MTV Style readers about their FEELINGS. Welcome ladies, we’re happy to have yous.
