Posted May 31, 201411 yr The epic action of "Edge of Tomorrow" unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world. Major William Cage (Tom Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop-forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again...and again. But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt). And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy. Cast: Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt, Bill Paxton, Charlotte Riley, Jonas Armstrong... Promo stills
June 13, 201410 yr ^ That's what I wanna know too. My boyfriend wants to see this movie but I'm not a huge fan of Tom Cruise so if others deem it worthy then it may sway my mind. Apparently a lot of critics have said the movie is better than what the trailers made it out to be.
June 16, 201410 yr Author Saw it today. Not because of Cruise, but Emily Blunt.Very good story, and I'm not a sci-fi fan.Bill Paxton, in a small part, provided a memorable characterand surprisingly Cruise was good too.
June 23, 201410 yr I've heard this was pretty good, but haven't checked it out yet. Probably wait until it's a download or on Netflix.
September 13, 201410 yr It's ok. But I thought it wasn't very original. These "evil" alien movies are getting pretty stale imho.
August 13, 20159 yr Heavily underrated movie, wasn't expecting much as this type of movie had been done before with little success but this was the one, Kudos to the director(s). For me 85%.
