PinkCouture Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 The Dictator is an upcoming 2012 film written by and starring Sacha Baron Cohen. Baron Cohen's fourth film will "tell the heroic story of a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed", according to Paramount Pictures, which will distribute the film. Larry Charles, who previously directed Baron Cohen's mockumentaries Borat and BrĂ¼no, will also direct the film. Baron Cohen will star alongside Ben Kingsley and Anna Faris. The film is said to be inspired by the novel Zabibah and the King and by Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein. The trailer alludes to the fact that the film is inspired by the late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, due to the character's visit to the United States and his all-female security force. Furthermore, the clips shown of Barack Obama and David Cameron in the beginning of the trailer are all excerpts of speeches condemning the late Libyan leader for his actions in the Libyan civil war that led to his ouster. A clip is also shown of Hillary Clinton condemning the Syrian leader, Bashar al-Assad. Through out the trailer a song called Mundian To Bach Ke also known as "Beware of the Boys" by Dj/Producer Panjabi MC featuring Jay-Z played a central role as The Dictator theme music. A special version of the trailer was later made for a Super Bowl XLVI comercial advert spot. Baron Cohen will play the role of Admiral General Alladeen, a dictator from a country called the Republic of Wadiya.Cast:Sacha Baron Cohen as Admiral General AlladeenBobby Lee as Mr. LaoKevin Corrigan as SladeJ.B. ILUVAdrianaLima Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 I finally came across a commercial for this new film....I can only imagine what obscenities will be pulled off in this film. Quote
Vanessa_gxox Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Personally thought it was hilarious, but I think Sacha is a comical legend...he deff pushed the boundaries with this movie though, must more controversy. Quote
