Deli, whose small frame and striking face seem destined for a camera lens, was born in the small country of Moldova, which—until 1991—was part of the Soviet Union. But last year she took a leap of faith and came to Spartanburg to join a friend from Moldova who was already living here. Then she met her future husband while babysitting his sister’s children. Now, the Upstate and Spartanburg are home base for her, although the Elite model jet sets to New York, Los Angeles, and Miami frequently.
