I gave the UHQ scans to my buddy at TFS and he posted it there. I figured more people would appreciate it there than here. BTW, I'm already getting lambasted for my beautiful watermark at TFS by this guy below. good pics completely ruined by cheap tacky senseless scanners tags. The guy who scanned them is an idiot. Thanks for posting though. Well it doesn't really ruin it... at all, but why do you even need to put a watermark on it at all? You didn't take the photograph, you didn't write the article, or publish the magazine, you only scanned it. Beyond this, I was just telling it how it is: whether you like it or not, you are putting your name on something that you contributed nothing toward the creation of. Mugo Posted June 9, 2009 Share Posted June 9, 2009 Hi all, not much of a visitor or contributor here as you'll see from my post count, but i've just had a look through the last couple of pages and chanced upon vampirehorde's post. I'd like to apologise for stooping to the personal insult level. It's not something I do usually, in fact i've never insulted anyone on the internet that I can remember. Not much to say in my defence other than I had had a very tough day the day I posted it. In hindsight I shouldn't have. So sorry. On the tagging issue though, it is something that grates on me. I can understand to some people tags are something they don't even care about. But to me, I think they de-value the picture. You spend all that time and effort scanning, editing, smoothing, god knows what else to get a great quality scan (and I admit, vampirehorde's scans are very good. I've seen quite a few) only to then slap a name/tag on it. Why not leave the tag off? Or if you need to put one there, why not make it more subtle (AchAT scans for instance). There are some great scanners out there who contribute a great deal to TFS, bwgreyscale, etc (Diorette, francyitaly, kokobombon to name but a few), they dont feel the need to tag, just wondering why you feel you need to.
