Pauleta, full name Pedro Miguel Carreiro Resendes (born April 28, 1973 in Ponta Delgada, Azores) is a Portuguese football player. He is a striker who plays for French club Paris Saint-Germain and the Portuguese national team.

Pauleta is the first Portuguese international to never have played in Portugal's top division. He has been one of the most prolific goal scorers in the Portuguese team. Pauleta is currently the second best scorer ever on the squad, only beaten by Eus
