James and Rachel Show Their True Colours at Oz's Tokyo Premiere

James Franco and Rachel Weisz turned up the glamour at the Japanese premiere of Oz the Great and Powerful in Tokyo last night. Rachel, who plays the Wicked Witch of the East, wore a red satin gown and covered up from the cold in a white furry jacket, while James embraced his Emerald City character in a green suit. They were representing the film in Japan since their co-stars were busy with appearances of their own in the States. Michelle Williams appeared on The Late Show With David Letterman in NYC last night to talk about her new movie and her life with Matilda. Meanwhile, Mila Kunis was busy in LA celebrating her new role as a Gemfields global ambassador.

Rachel, who married Craig in 2011, admitted although she isn't hungry to take part in all commercial films, she wouldn't mind being a Bond girl.

Speaking to Esquire the mother-of-one said: ;'’d like to! I wouldn’t say no. I’m not a snob about entertainment.'

And she added she isn't attracted to mainstream roles other actresses clamber fo

'Some of the material I’m attracted to is not… it’s just not commercial. Which means it’s really f**king interesting, you know? It’s off-centre. It doesn’t fit in a genre.'

But there is one topic which Rachel says will always remain off limits - her marriage.

The Oz the Great and Powerful actress said: 'There are lots of people involved, including children who are getting older

'And they didn’t choose to have us as parents. I genuinely just don’t think it’s very fair on them to have their parents talk about stuff

Rachel is mother to six-year-old Henry Aronofsky while Daniel has a daughter Ella, 20.

The pair married quietly in New York in 2011 - they only had four guests, including their children.

On the secrets of her success Rachel is contemplative.

'You can be more successful if you’re more strategic.

'There’s a lot of big movies that I’m not interested in that I get offered. But this [Oz] was one that I really, really wanted to do. I was piqued by it.'

Rachel plays villainous Evanora in the Wizard of Oz prequel opposite James Franco, Mila Kunis and Michelle Williams.

The 43-year-old actress recently gave and interview to STV where she talks about her role in Oz the Great and Powerful.

“Well, I’ve never played a good one,”Rachel said. “I’ve not played a witch before, this is my first witch.”

“But I wanted to be the bad girl…she’s manipulative, she’s cruel, she lies, she cheats, she wants the throne, she breaks her sister’s heart… the more evil she is, the more fun she has. So I thought that was just a really good character,” Rachel added.
