I think I'm the only one here who actually liked the movie. I think most people tripped over the fact that it's not a balanced comedy. Hancock mixed funny scenes with drama and it I guess that's where it failed for a lot of people. At first it's real funny and light, (though I always thought the character looked slightly depressed througout the movie. Kind of gave him the aww-you-poor-thing factor) and when the movie progresses you expect more funny scenes to come and when they don't, it's like "Huh? Wait. This was a comedy! Now it's not even funny anymore!"

I actually think that's the strength of the whole movie. Instead of sticking to the same old concept, the director decided to make this mish-mash (which was pretty risky) and I think it worked out really well. A bit like the last Blackadder episode, where you expect it to be all fun and laughs but instead you find yourself getting all teary-eyed.

But hell, what do I know? I do know I've watched more movies than I can count over the last five years and Hancock wasn't the worst. But then again, I'm prolly also the only one who thinks Slumdog Millionaire wasn't the masterpiece everyone says it is. So shoot me.
