The couple wed Saturday( June 9, 2012) evening in a private ceremony in Texas, with Alves taking the groom's last name to officially become Camila McConaughey, the actor's rep tells PEOPLE.

The theme of the wedding was "island beach meets Texas" with yellow and orange colors, Entertainment Tonight is reporting. There were horseshoe pits, fire pits, washer pits and tether ball games to entertain the guests. Estancia Churrascaria, a Brazilian steak house, catered with a menu that included Brazilian top and bottom steak, chicken wrapped in bacon and pork sausages with cheese bread.

According to PEOPLE, the groom donned a three-piece black Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo, and the bride wore a gown handmade by a favorite Brazilian designer and a pair of white Stuart Weitzman heels. "Matthew looked so handsome, like an Old Hollywood movie star," said a guest. "And Camila was just glowing and beautiful!"

The celebration, held for three days throughout the weekend, reportedly was a perfect combination of "island beach meets Texas." The guests arrived on Friday night to have a pre-wedding slumber party. They lounged in hammocks, sipped beer and played lawn games including beanbag and ring toss. They slept in luxury tents set up across the property.

"There were no groomsmen or bridesmaids" unlike other weddings, a different guest told Us Weekly. The insider continued to testify, "And there were two preachers, [a pastor of a local church] and a monk. They switched off saying remarks."

When it came to exchanging their wedding vows, the couple kept it private. "They whispered them in each other's ears. No one knew what they said," the source revealed. "Whatever they said was very emotional. [Camila] was tearing up." When witnessing the emotional nuptials, everyone let out a collective sigh.

The bride was not the only one who cried as "the crowd erupted and there were many tears all around" after they finished their vows. The couple then sealed it with a long, passionate kiss. "There was a lot of clapping and everyone was happy," the eyewitness said.

Cool bride: Camila Alves took a leisurely stroll near her home in Austin, Texas yesterday(Saturday, June 8, 2012) before saying I do to Matthew McConaughey. Wearing simple black cycle shorts, an orange T-shirt and matching hat, the Brazilian beauty looked relaxed just hours before saying 'I do.

Perezhilton.com:

...We’ll give you the play-by-play…Although Matthew and Camila have been together for six years now and have son Levi and daughter Vida together, they decided to finally make their love and dedication for each other official! The wedding was held in Texas and included guests such as A-listers Reese Witherspoon, Meg Ryan, Woody Harrelson AND John Cougar Mellencamp, who turned a Bible verse into a song for the newlyweds!

Now for probably the SWEETEST, most romantic part — McConaughey and Alves opted to WHISPER their vows into each other’s ears instead of saying them aloud! A friend of the couple dished: "No one knows what they said, but you could tell it was emotional because she was teary-eyed. Matthew loves her, there's no doubt about that." SWOON!!!

As for the reception? Attendees helped themselves to rotisserie-style Brazilian meats and a full display of desserts, which Matthew and Camila chose to have instead of a traditional wedding cake! A live band played Brazilian rock and American pop music, as the newlyweds and their guests danced the night away! One lucky wedding-goer said: "You could definitely tell [Matthew] was in love. It was a great night for everyone."...

People Magazine:

How's this for wedded bliss?

Matthew McConaughey and his bride Camila Alves are the portrait of happiness in photos from their June 9 at-home wedding in Austin, Texas.

"We decided to embrace the ritual of marriage as an opportunity and adventure we'll take together," McConaughey, 42, tells PEOPLE in this week's cover story, which features exclusive photos and details from the couple's big day.

The pair welcomed around 120 guests – including Reese Witherspoon, Kenny Chesney, and Woody Harrelson – for a three-day extravaganza of summer fun surrounding the nuptials.

The ceremony was especially meaningful for the pair's children, Levi, who turns 4 in July, and Vida, 2½, who served as ring bearer and flower girl at the Catholic ceremony.

Says Camila, 29: "Somehow they both seem to understand what we are doing on a spiritual level."
