Remember I wondered when we read the article that stated that Leo wanted to move to a more secure and private location, if , maybe , the fact that early on the BellaSugar editor mentioned he was at pool in her neighborhood was a factor.

Great Gatsby fever has well and truly taken over Sydney.

Led by Leonardo DiCaprio, the cast of the new Baz Luhrmann movie are making the city their home for the next four months as they film, mostly at Fox Studios.

Tobey Maguire and his family yesterday enjoyed a trip to Bondi Beach, while Carey Mulligan had breakfast in Paddington. Joel Edgerton also surfed at Bondi during the week while Isla Fisher's been seen near the studios.

It's payday for Sydney paparazzi, although their money shot - DiCaprio - is proving the most elusive. The star, who is living in Sydney's eastern suburbs, hates being photographed.

Some of the cast were also invited to Justin Hemmes' party last night in Vaucluse.

Leonardo DiCaprio bought an ice cream at Gelatissimo on Tuesday, opting for two scoops of raspberry and hazelnut.

Icebergs is a favourite hang-out for Baz Luhrmann, along with North Bondi Italian. No doubt we'll see the Gatsby stars pop up for a bite.

Joel Edgerton was seen hitting the waves on Thursday

Gatsby's leading lady, British star Carey Mulligan, has undertaken some retail therapy on the popular Paddington shopping strip. Father-of-two Tobey Maguire is a fan of Bourke Street Bakery. He's also been spotted at Kawa on Crown Street.

Kings Cross

DiCaprio visited Kings Cross's Gazebo apartments on Wednesday to check out the penthouse. You might catch him at the bar.

Newly engaged Mulligan has been spotted on Macleay Street, not far from her Sydney digs in Paddington.

The Bunker has become a favourite coffee spot for Maguire.

Centennial Park

DiCaprio's Sydney fitness regime involves cycling around Centennial Park. He was seen there pedalling away on Tuesday.

The studio at Moore Park has been a hive of activity before official filming starts on Monday Sept 5. DiCaprio, Maguire, Edgerton, Mulligan and Isla Fisher have all been seen around there.
