November 18, 200519 yr They need reinforcements because Smith ain't a midfielder. The idea was so crazy I thought it just might work. Then reality came knocking on my door.
November 19, 200519 yr They need reinforcements because Smith ain't a midfielder. The idea was so crazy I thought it just might work. Then reality came knocking on my door. I agree with you, smith is not a central midfielder, but Man U needs a whole new midfield, as Smith, Scholes, and Fletcher are not that good

November 19, 200519 yr Since 2005 is coming to an end, what are your guys team of the year?Mine is:-----------Dida------------Puyol-Nesta-Terry-Maldini----------Gerrard-----------Kaka-Ronaldinho-Lampard----Shevchenko-Eto'o-----Dida: He kept Milan in every game last year, and was the MVP of Milan last year, big and agile and a penalty shot expert (except against Liverpool last year)Puyol: a bulldog in the back, tough tackling, and great reader of the gameNesta: the best defender in the world right now. Fast, reads the game brilliantlly, and the best tackler in the worldTerry: can defend and also pop in a few goals. Chelsea great defensive record was mostly due to himMaldini: A living Legend. At 38 he still one of the best. It's a shame that he never won the ballon d'orGerrard: Led Liverpool by example, can score and defened. He's just clutch, as he scores all of Liverpool's big goalsKaka: The best counter attacking player in the world. I don't think any one can stop him once he has space to run. He starts all of Milan's attacks, and he's only 23. Will win the ballon d'or in 1 or 2 yearsRonaldinho: The most exciting player in the world. An absolute magician with the ball, as he pulls of moves people can't even think ofLampard: Leads the premier league in goals from midfield. Oh, and he can defend too.Sheva: can score with either foot or his head, sets up goals, dribble by players, and hold up the ball. The most complete striker in the game. Eto'o: he just scores goals, and lots of them
November 19, 200519 yr Team of the Year eh? I like your team but Puyol is wasted playing on the right... he's just such a good player in the centre! I have a compilation... I might post that up later. Cech Cafu--Carra--Stam--Heinze Makelele Joaquin--------------Lampard Kaka Adriano-----Drogba Reserves: Ronnie, Puyol, Juninho Cech: He's quite the talent, though he certainly has a lot to learn. He's very error-prone under pressure and without that defence in front of him, he'd be leaking quite a bit. But he has amazing reactions, agility, and jumping power. Does most things well, although he could work on his distribution. Chose him cause he broke so many records and did well for the Czechs as well...that and I didn't really watch any other keepers Cafu: He's old, but he still runs 90 minutes. How he does it I don't know, but he's always professional and always putting in 110% and normally comes out the winner. Carragher: Most consistent and most improved. He's a fighter and his effort in the Champion's League Final proved that. Always determined and ready to sweat blood for the shirt! Stam: Had a phenomenal season in Europe and domestically. He had every thing under control every time. Came up against some of the best strikers in the world and handled them with ease. Heinze: Pains me to admit it, but he's good. A bit rough but always willing to make the tackle. Highlight of the season was 3 consecutive tackles to break up a Liverpool move along the wings. Awesome display and should do better once he recovers. Makelele: Always thought he was the unsung hero He does well for Chelsea, providing a platform to protect the back 4 and launch attacks from. Also scored from the spot Joaquin: He found consistency last year and ripped Spain apart. He always had the talent but not the consistency, so it was good to see him play good, dazzling football week in, week out. Kaka: What can I say about this guy? He's a legend. His performance in the first half against Liverpool just goes to show how important he is to Milan's attack. Without him, Sheva wouldn't have half the chances. Lampard: I'd vote Stevie G, but Stevie had a shocker of a domestic season with Liverpool. Lampard is always influential and he's improvement has been meteoric to say the least. Adriano: Internazionale or Brasil, he proves he can score from anywhere with any thing. No words need to be said about him. Drogba: Chose him because he actually is a good striker (though not
November 19, 200519 yr I like how you included Makelele and Heinze, they are very under rated in my opinionBut I don't know how Drogba makes your list in front of Sheva, Ronaldo, Eto'o, Ibrahimovic, or Gilardino
November 19, 200519 yr Henry is far more creative and skillful than both Shevchenko and Eto'o combined. lots of respect for Eto'o though
November 19, 200519 yr I don't want to get into this arguement again, but Henry does not score in a big game. 98% of his goals are scored against teams in the bottom half of the table. And there is no way Henry is more skillful than Sheva

And there is no way Henry is more skillful than Sheva argument? . . . i'm not arguing. i'm just having a football chat. people are bound to have different opinions and it's all light-hearted . . . i don't really see it as an argument personally. dunno . . . i think that it is unfair to say that. didn't he score against Man Utd last season. he still has an amazing goal ratio though and along with Diego Forlan scored the most goals in Europe last season. personally i don't really rate Shevchenko that highly. personally i think that Henry, Adriano and Eto'o are better i get that you think otherwise which is fair enough.

I can see what your saying, but I'm just stubborn, and I can't stand Arsenal maybe if Henry goes to Barcelona next year, I might start liking him a little bit more
