September 25, 200519 yr hahahaha, I recommend they play out of position and formation as well, just to make things a little more interesting. Damn you Mourinho!Damn you Chelsea!
September 26, 200519 yr Because then they'd actually have a world class keeper? Then again they need someone in midfield.Diop is a good choice but
September 26, 200519 yr You know what would be cool?Casillas in Arsenal. That would be cool! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> why would they need Casillas when they have Lehmann, Almunia and the one and only Mart Poom on loan from Sunderland. i'm only messin' . . . i have been enjoying arsenal's goalkeeping troubles though . . . Lehmann is a laugh a minute. would Casillas even consider Arsenal though especially since they appear to me to be falling apart with Vieira leaving and others not commiting to contracts. Wenger has brought in no big name signings and with Chelsea being almost dead-certs for the title for the forseeable future what is there to attract big players to Arsenal?
September 26, 200519 yr Who knows? I don't even know why Hleb signed for them Barry, give this a download It's the half time talk in the Chelsea dressing room, when they took on the Spurs Trust me mate, it's gold Chelsea vs Spurs HT Talk 1.82 MB, YouSendIt and here's a small clip of Rafa talking about cricket Rafa on cricket 2.34 MB, YouSendIt

September 27, 200519 yr Yeh I don't think it'd work that well to be honest.Mourinho would still play with negative tactics and an away win for Chelsea would be no problem.Chelsea have the occasional 3-0 or 4-0 win anyway.I don't see Arsenal's defence holding on if they play out and out attacking football though. Not much would change. I think it's a good idea and props to the man for still playing attacking football. I believe in attacking football, but ultimately, I don't think such a points system will change much
September 27, 200519 yr I support the idea.Attacking, attractive football should be supported.English clubs score less and less, without help the Premier League might turn into something similar to Serie A.
September 27, 200519 yr True. Everything is too negative. It's understandable why they'd want to be, but I personally find it unattractive. Although, judging by the scores last matchday, you'd think that the Champion's League is getting more attack minded There were hardly any clean sheets last matchday
September 27, 200519 yr Let's hope they can keep the pace! And I can't imagine a better way to encourage teams to attack than giving them extra points for a 3 goal victory.
September 27, 200519 yr That depends on how much they treasure the lead I guess. I don't see Mourinho whinging over a point lost really. But I think it's best to offer incentive points, like the 3 goals difference = +1 point. That would be better than 4 points for an away win. That wouldn't affect much, maybe the mid-table but definitely wouldn't affect the top of the table, where Chelsea win no matter where they play
September 27, 200519 yr Barca 4-1 Udinese Manyoo 2-1 Benfica - Bloody lucky Mancs <_< Poor Benfica Ajax 1-2 Arsenal Juve 3-0 Club Brugge Bayern 1-0 Rapid Thun 1-0 Sparta That's all the scores I can remember off the top of my head some good clean sheets, some good goals Especially Simao Sambrosa's free kick against the ugly ugly stinky poo evil Mancs

"We weren't the best team when I won the competition with Porto two seasons ago. Last season, the team that played the most beautiful football was Barcelona. They played fantastic football." From Reuters <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Barcelona's play really is wonderful to watch but (as you say) to an extent what's the point in playing attractively if you don't win stuff (Tottenham's problem in the past). i hope that they win the Champions League .
September 28, 200519 yr You can't win playing attractive football anymore, you must play with balance. and with regards to the "not the best team" comment, that just makes victory all the sweeter
